Exactly. And what is also worth considering is where is the place you're most likely to see trouble after a night-out? No, not walking home. It's waiting for a taxi in a queue with loads of other drunks.

Please tell me you don't take a taxi instead of making that "harrowing" 12 minute walk back home! o_O
  3. They could have asked, yes. They wouldn't have got one though.
  4. To be fair, it's hosted on a free forums provider so he'll have very little control (if any) over the layout, functionality and design of his forums.
  5. Hot as Angola? Actually, it's probably hotter. The $850 ticket price is what is putting me off at the moment.
  6. What he said. Most people don't want to see advertisements and if they are already helping the web site by paying to become a sponsor or supporting member then the least I can do is make them disappear for those users.
  7. Yeah, it's definitely a viable idea. It will be interesting to see what difference the trams will make in Edinburgh when they come back (they have already started laying the lines in Leith etc).
  8. Seriously thinking of going to this next year. The Interactive workshops and panels are worth the ticket price alone.
  9. Yeah, just go into the settings and do a full re-scan. It should be easy enough to do. You never know...it might even pick up some new channels.
  10. There is no such thing as an uncapped service anyway. ISPs advertise "uncapped" services, but in reality if you download enough then you'll get slapped with their Acceptable Use Policy and throttled / capped until you behave again. No-one has unlimited bandwidth, ISPs included. I just wish they weren't allowed to mislead people into thinking they do. If your TV reception has gone funny though, then why not just call your landlord and get them to send someone out to check the aerial?
  11. I've tried a fair few of them over the years now - Eve, Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest, Planet Side, World of Warcraft. The only one I still play is World of Warcraft. I was quite interested in Warhammer until I realised it wasn't Warhammer 40,000 which I was hoping it would be (that's what I used to play as a kid - still love it). So I don't think I'm going to try it. Have you seen the Lord of The Rings MMORPG? It looks quite good.
  12. Have a look at your reputation comments. There is plenty of people on these forums that have a dislike of the nature of your posts. The question I find myself asking is why someone who lives and works in Poland (and South-East England before that) and who is not involved with any music scene, let alone the music scene of Aberdeen, is continuing to post on this web site.
  13. Are you being forced to fill out this survey? No, you aren't. It's obvious what this thread is about from the title and as Dave mentioned if you aren't interested in Feugh Fest then please stop wasting your time as well as everyone else's by posting in this thread.
  14. No worries there, I don't have a credit card with them (nor would I, they're a rip-off). That's presumably an anti-fraud measure. After all, I think it is safe for them to assume that if you are banking with a UK high-street bank then you will reside somewhere in the UK.
  15. There is a band called Glasvegas? What an awful name. I get called a cock all the time so I wouldn't worry about it.
  16. You're the person I picked up that word from in fact. And all this apparent dislike of the word is only going to make me use it even more.
  17. Are you being serious? Do you honestly not know why you receive so much abuse on this web site? (which we do deal with every time by the way, taking up plenty of our valuable time) You're seriously testing my patience.
  18. As we've talked about before, I think we're both in agreement that Clydesdale bank is probably one of the worst banks in the UK to be with. Their products are completely uncompetitive if nothing else. If you are moving your current account to them then they will do this all automatically for you as well as set-up your standing orders. I think all major banks in the UK offer this service now as it is meant to make it easier for people to move from bank to bank.
  19. I'm afraid not. It's straight to Elgin and back to Glasvegas for me.
  20. There will be a ceilidh, but the wedding is actually taking place elsewhere in Elgin. Namely here: Country Hotel Scotland | Country Club Elgin | Whisky Trail Scotland | Golf Scotland But at 200 a night that place was a little steep for me. Looks awesome though.
  21. Oh, most probably. That's not really visiting it though. On the recommendation from a native, I'm staying here: The Mansefield Hotel - Elgin, Scotland - Welcome
  22. I've actually never been to Elgin before, at least I don't think so. So I'm looking forward to it.
  23. I'm finally coming to the end of a complete bastard of a project. And I soon have a wedding to go to in that most exotic of locations...Elgin.
