fooking never, i'd die if i actually gave the fags* up, me body wouldn't be able to handle it.

*just in case any of our american friends are reading this thread or before someone makes a witty comment, fags are slang for cigarettes as opposed to a term for being homosexual

huh???

That post reads as if the only place you will leave smelling of smoke is Drake's... There has not been a time, in my extensive going out lifestyle, that I have not gone home with my clothes reeking of smoke. Where ever I have gone! It's the unfortuneat downside, other than the obvious possibilities of serious illness, of socialising in public places/spaces. I am a non-smoker! I go home stinking of the damn stuff. I choose to go to these places and will never get pissed of about it. It is all about choice. Not great but... Disrespectful and ignorant smokers on the other hand Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

On a slight tangent I have decided to stop putting ashtrays on the bar area. It doesn't stop smoking at the bar, but it cuts down the amount of shit that the we (the bar staff) have to inhale over several hours. Nothing worse than trying to clean glasses and some one is blowing smoke in you face or an ignored ciggy is clogging up you nostrils and throat. Not Nice. So if you smoke and you come to Drake's be respectfull with your cancer stcks at the bar. I'm not going to rant and rave about this by the way. Simply a subtle change for the health of the staff.

Ah, on the rare and beautiful occasions that I'm with Ca$ino I smoke. I also drink in excess and spill out my troubles in life like a true thespian.

The man is amazing... I've given up on christianity, and now worship Ca$inoanity.

The commandments are...

1) smoke the smokes of a REAL man (I shoudn't have to name the brand)

2) drink the drink

3) serve the drink

4) dress sharp for all occasions

5) In a sticky situation... think to yourself, "what would Ca$ino do?"

It's changed my life... I'm a better person for it.

A new law was tried and tested in the Australian Capital Territory recently along these lines, much like new york(?) where bars banned smoking because of the serious health risks. it caused up to 80% loss of business in the first month. So, unfortunate as it may be, I don't see any bar, club or restaurant actually benefiting from such a move. As a smoker, I'd certainly go out less if I couldn't smoke in bars. Especially in an Aberdonian winter! i can certainly agree with a level of respect demanded from bartenders who either don't smoke or are gagging for one yet having their faces clouded in a haze.

Guest not a statement

considering the amount of smokers there are its virtually impossible to see a law working .Non smoking policies cant be good for business. I am a non smoker and as much as i hate having to inhale smoke thatll most likely be affecting my health smoking is good for business and in the world we live in business is everyting.

drakes simply cant afford to ban smoking.
