Mouse
I was in HMV the other day and heard one of the cliche bullshit females singers singing the words to Nothing Else Matters. What the hell is going on?!

Rass
crap metallica covers are ten to a penny man, being one of the biggest metal bands automatically means at least every second band has to have a crack at your songs at some point or other, any "tribute to.." album is absolutely laden with shit attempts at all the classics, The only covers i have heard i really enjoyed was Limp Bizkit and Korn's attempts from the Icons show (korn may of cut the solo but to be honest it wouldnt be very korn to play a solo) and im totally digging the fade to bluegrass album, which is a hayseed dixie-like hash through their songs, but they've actually taken the time to rearrange the songs and make them thier own. Rachie
Then you've got apocalyptica's version, but that's really in a class of its own tbh.

Rachie
I know. I tried to work out some of the technique in One, then just kinda sat there gobsmacked thinking "Ok... I didn't even know that was possible on a 'cello!"
Rass
shit yeah, forgot apocolyptica, fucking legends, cello has so much power they really do a good job of emulating the agression and wrath of the original stuff while songs like NEM couldnt be more poiniant. awesome.
