A wee gig to launch our UK tour and a sort of album launch (although it came out in October). Either way, a fine night of music for all of the Silver City. It will be a fantastic way to catch up with friends and what not after the Festive Period, being the first FRIDAY NIGHT after Hoggers.

The bands:

Carson Wells: Maest o’ yous‘ll ken us. Local emo 3 piece with DEAD TECH bits, and perennial purveyors of terrible chat. Come down and buy our new 12” for only £6 AND SEE US AS WE DON’T PLAY Aberdeen oft...

en enough anymore. The recording doesn’t have bits of us speaking in between songs.

Fat Goth: A band that are about to take over the world with their weird but wonderful brand of rock. With definite nods to The Jesus Lizard, this Dundonian 3-piece are about to release a shiny new album that is turning many heads and dropping many panties.

The Shithawks: Oddball bluesy-rock from Dundee. Great fun to watch, so long as you’re ready to hang loose. Not similar to anything I have seen in a while, but I still think my Mum and Dad would enjoy them. A band that I can’t imagine anyone not liking, not because they stick to a certain formula; just because they’re really fucking great.

Smithsonian: 2-piece acousticmo act fighting out of Edinburgh, but hailing from the Borders. Expect ballads covering things that made them sad and made them wish they were doing better. In truth, they’re doing just fine. Beautifully honest lyrics that are fragile yet bold.

Caaps: Local 3-piece pop-rock scallywags who enjoy a good lid and a bad football jersey. Expect fun songs from fun guys and the second sexiest drummer in Aberdeen. They reminded me of The Presidents of the USA. They also bring art school babes to their gigs as well.

A pretty mixed bill, which I think is a good thing. I hope to see plenty of you there as all the bands who have been kind enough to join us are really, really great.

£4 entry. Doors @ ~19:30.
