Fraser Mac
As in bad dude,Its gallows bassist's other band, they are riding that fact hard. weather they admit it or not, alot of people will know of them because of that,
keeno
I hope FFAF get at least a 1 hour set at this gig! Even if we have to bottle Spycatcher off... well with the plastic pint glasses Just checked out the 4 new songs on Your History Is Mine and after Wrench being amazing was a bit underwhelmed by the other ones (was hoping for screaming!) but still probably the best stuff they have done since Hours (bar Into Oblivion which was an epic tune)

Norseman
I have been inundated with folk I know trying to source tickets for this gig, if this is across the board then maybe the Music Hall might have been a goer!

The59Sound
I was at the Dundee show last night and FFAF were on at around half 9, but I reckon it'll be earlier tonight.Incidentally, they are on brilliant form. Xcerts are playing well but their setlist last night was dire.
Ross.
I believe it's an early finish tonight but hopefully someone could confirm. I can't make it down til about 8.15 so I really hope I don't miss Xcerts.
ben_1903
well that was bloody marvelous. Only downside was that they only played one track from tales and nothing from memory and humanity. The new tracks from the best of were sounding good. Other than that - excellent!! caverdaz
I had a good time. Thought the sound for The XCerts was awful though.
keeno
I thought it was absolutely terrible.Sound was awful too.Really? Admittedly I was right at the front but the sound was brilliant. Could hear all the instruments perfectly which makes a change at gigs. Normally they're bass drum/high hat heavy but the balance last night was great.Only song missing from the set I would liked to have heard was 10:45 Amsterdam Conversations and was a bit surprised they played all 4 of the new songs. As they said the fans chose the setlist so blame them I really didn't like Spycatcher but The Xcerts put on a pretty decent show and whilst not my cup of tea I quite enjoyed them
ben_1903
I thought it was absolutely terrible.Sound was awful too.I thought the sound was pretty good, Kris' guitar could have been louder. Sound issues aside, what was terrible about it?

Norseman
I was at the back and over to the right of the stage and I thought the sound was pretty horrible, all bass and drums and could barely hear any guitar work. I also found the evening very "soulless" without quite being able to put my finger on why. I ended up leaving early as I got bored which I was suprised at as I have enjoyed seeing them previously. Those slidey floors are a bloody nightmare as well, twisted my knee which is giving me some serious gip today. Very strange mishmash of tunes between sets as well and earlier in the evening you wouldn't have thought the Bassment was a rock bar. All in all a very strange evening and being soaked to the skin didn't help.

Guest
I read somewhere Joe had broken his wrist so is having to play the bassline on keyboards and other instruments. Is this true?

Craigs91
Not last night. He has a cast on his right hand but managed to play the basslines as well as ever. He played the Tunnels gig on keyboards though.
