Sigur Ros: Heima @ Belmont Cinema

Recommended Posts

Director: Dean Deblois Origin: Iceland Year: 2007

In July 2005, Sigur Rs left their homeland to tour their now iconic album Takk. A year later they returned, firmly established as one of the most influential bands on the planet, and immediately undertook a two-week free tour of Iceland. HEIMA, Icelandic for 'home' or homeland', is a stunning record of those two weeks featuring performances of songs from all four Sigur Rs albums, many radically re-worked, and two exclusive new numbers.

Note: this film is subtitled

Ah, yes, i saw this. Funny, i remember chat in a thread about this last year and someone from the Belmont saying it was very unlikely! Anyway, i think i'm going on Thursday night.

How long will this be running for?

97 minutes if the DVD is anything to go by. And very good it is too. Definitely worth checking out.

With the 116 page hardback book?

I was 20 for mine - 10 would be a mega bargain!

Yeah, it was. Saw it for cheap and bought it :)

Really nice package actually and a good watch as well.
