Alan Cynic
I assumed Arthur C Clarke had died decades ago!!Is Norman Wisdom still on the go?
pogofish
Is Norman Wisdom still on the go?He is indeed & it is hard to believe he was still performing on stage only 3 or 4 years ago & acted in a film, just over a year ago. However, he is sinking further & further into dementia. Just a few weeks back, there was an interesting doc on how his family are dealing with the problems arising from coping with his care.BBC - Southern Counties - Features - Norman's Secret LifeBBC NEWS | World | Europe | Isle of Man | Wisdom family makes care decisionKeep an eye on BBC4. I'd guess this one will get a regular repeat.

Lemonade
They're dropping like flies. My money's on Muhammed Ali next. I predicted in January that this year Ali will die and George Michael will announce he's got AIDS. I really hope the former doesn't happen (one of my heroes and all that) but I'm forever holding onto the hope that the latter does.

Chris
I hope when I'm old I'll be in an actors' retirement home...I think you're missing the necessary career to qualify for entry.Although, with your recent career interruption now might be the time to change that... Lemonade
Why would you ever make these prdeictions?Have you placed bets on them? The George Michael one was mainly to wind up my girlfriends mum, who absolutely adores him. But have you seen him recently? He doesn't look well. And Ali was just a hunch really. I was reading a book about him at the time.

pogofish
I fucking hate Last of the Summer Wine.He was also Barraclough in Porridge & probably the only vaguely likable character in Last of the Summer Wine. Quit it some years back IIRC.
