Fudge present Fudgenight#185:

IRN MADEIN (formerly MAIDEN SCOTLAND) + DOWNFALL + THRASHIST REGIME

SATURDAY 20th JUNE @ THE MOORINGS BAR

TICKETS ONSALE

185fnflyer.jpg

MAIDEN SCOTLAND ARE NOW IRN MADEIN.

"2009 has brought an exciting new line up change and a name change from Maiden Scotland to Irn Madein, an Iron Maiden tribute band featuring 5 excellent and experienced musicians, recreating the sounds of the legendary British heavy metal band.

Irn Madein are one of the biggest and best Iron Maiden tributes around, having performed with Paul Dianno. Anyone who has witnessed our live show will give testament to a full on committed rock gig! So whoever, wherever you are, Irn Madein's gonna get you, no matter how far. Up The Irns !!!"

On the go since 2005, Scottish heavy metal band 'Downfall' are slamming something new on the table. A unique mix of thrash, blues and rock n' roll, Downfall will get your head banging and your hearing tested.

"The aptly named Thrashist Regime - a band who do very much what it says on the tin! The mighty Joe of Black Atom fame fronts this high energy technical thrash outfit, reminiscent at times of Megadeth and Sanctity. As per usual the frontman bounces around the venue like a hyperactive jack rabbit, one minute on someones table and the next swinging from the lights. It's almost worth the admission money alone just to see what he gets up to. Musically Thrashist Regime are a tight powerful unit and light years ahead of what most up and coming bands are capable of." - HARDROCKHOUSE.COM

p.s. San Toy are so cute:

"We were a wee bit apprehensive when we arrived and were kinda worried that the punters might be expecting a Thrash or Metal band and didnt know how we would go down but the whole band were in agreement afterwards that its so refreshing to play in a a venue where people actually appreciate bands tryin to do somethin a bit different and the crowd were really warm towards us! Man, we've played nearly every venue in Glasgow and there's really no place down here quite like The Moorings, trust me."

TUPELO TOWN ASSEMBLY + THE ACID FASCISTS + DESCARTES + WINTER IN SIBERIA

SATURDAY 27th JUNE @ THE MOORINGS BAR

186fnflyer.jpg

Three hellbound souls on the last train to rock n roll rythmn n groove oblivion. Taking the mainline through the Mississippi Delta and picking up the ferocity and groove of The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, the fuzzed up frenzy of British & US Freakbeat & Psych, the laid back swagger of the Bad Seeds, the gutteral howl of the Cramps and the insistent drunken thump of Tom Waits on the way, Tupelo Town Assembly blaze a down and dirty blues soaked path not to be missed by any self respecting fan of this genre.

"In his novel, The Autobiography of a Brown Buffalo, Oscar Zeta Acosta refers to Charles Manson's family as acid fascists. We like to believe that an alternate universe exists where Manson chose the path of rock n roll over the insanity of racism and celebrity slaughter. In this universe we would be his band. The Acid Fascists."

Descartes have played shows with Idlewild, Jubilee, Nine Black Alps, !Forward Russia!, Mexicolas, The Departure, Drive By Argument, Neil's Children, Twin Atlantic, Ipso Facto and Art Brut. Sometimes when it rains, they all cram together under a blanket pulled tightly across two chairs, and pretend that they are the last living humans...

Bleak and cold soundscapes for the soul created by musicians of minimal skill and charisma in the north-east of Scotland: it's Winter In Siberia.

4 STAR SUNDAY on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

THE FIGHTING 69TH

So. What do you sound like, Dumfries based foursome? "The Clash meets Johny Cash meets The Cult meets The Who in a pub, then they all get drunk and kick the living daylights out of all the manufactured boybands, girlbands, worthless celeb's and useless politicians," they reply. Rollicking indie rock, possessed of fine tunes and an upbeat sound.

HELLER STATE

Time for some pop punk! "We're Heller State and we are fucking epic," claim the likeable Aberdonian trio. "We're a punk rock band formed in early 2007. If you like what we do, let us know! We are suckers for flattery. Showing us your boobs would be greatly appreciated."

DEBASSED

What's missing from this night? Why, some five-piece METAL action, of course: "Most bands these days are too obsessed with their hair, the way they look, or the car they drive. Debassed, on the other hand, couldnt care less about any of these things. All they care about is playing good old fashioned metal and having a hell of a good time."

4 STAR SUNDAY

Inverurie based punk rockers 4 Star Sunday will open the show on their Moorings Bar debut. They like The Foos, FOB, Blink, Fighting With Wire, JEW, etc.

SATURDAY 11 JULY - Bonesaw present, at The Moorings Bar:

BONESAW

Bonesaw are a lumbering death metal zombie from the

1990s. They be tearing it up old school and getting all

heavy on yo ass like never before with a new split EP out.

CANCEROUS WOMB

An insensitive death metal band from Edinburgh. Musically

we aim to deliver a brutal mix of groove, speed and original-

ity. Idealistically we touch on the more controversial, seedy

and immoral subject matters of real life, where other bands

shy from in fear of causing grief or offending.

ABLACH

Ablach formed in Aberdeen Scotland, Summer 2007.

They have since shared stages with some of the best

hardcore, grindcore, metal and punk bands around including:

Achren, A Den Of Robbers, Afgrund, Atomgevitter, Cancer

Bats, Certain Death, Co-Exist, and Discharge Theyve just

released their debut album, so bring your wallet.

CRYPTIC HATE

Cryptic Hate formed 8 months ago with the intent to

create brutal as fuck music. Blasphemy, Desecration, Chaos

and Violence inspire the extremity to which we operate.

The Dirty Tricks on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

DECIPHER (available for gigs) on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

Project Zero on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

AUTOSAFARI

Having received glowing reviews and national airplay for debut single Comet, Edinburghs Autosafari have forged a reputation as a blistering live act, blazing a trail across the UK, blowing away audiences and headline acts alike. They play with passion and commitment, fuelled by anger and disillusionment. "This is a world of nuclear arsenals, climate change, celebrity media and eroding freedoms. A time of corporate criminals, greed and destruction. Of anger, despair, broken hearts and shattered dreams."

THE DIRTY TRICKS

"Think of The Who in 1965, The Clash in 1977, Oasis in 1994 ........ and you might be somewhere close to where The Dirty Tricks are right now, on the edge of defining a whole generation to come, giving it 100% on stage and believing in the songs they play with a passion that builds from your gut and goes to the very tips of your fingers and toes."

DECIPHER

Decipher are inspired by Comeback Kid,Homegrown,4ft fingers,Less Than Jake, The Ataris, Rise Against, politics, life, people, alcohol, and a nice cup of tea. They've been writing together since 1999, and recently reformed after a couple of years break.

PROJECT ZERO

Having supported Tempercalm, Dutch Schultz and Toxic Ephex, Project Zero (a three-piece grunge punk outfit from the surrounding area) make their first appearance in the bar.
