They hadn't sold 60 quid in tickets so they walked offrefusing to pay the extra.Of course they advertise on myspace, how else would they find young naive bands to take advantage of? When it comes to 4 bands that nobody ahs ever heard, i cant be assed shifting tickets.Another one of my college mates said when they played a twisted ape gig, they played with a band of 12 year olds who sold 1 ticket. I went for free on opening night as they publicly posted the guest list e-mail address and they gave away free champagne at the door and then at least 1 free drink to everyone who came in.The 2nd time i went was to a James Bond night - also for free. Here they were giving away free Heineken and free sushi from a pretty expensive Glasweigan sushi restaurant. My flatmate consumed inbetween 60 and 80 quids worth in free sushi.Only been twice though, they havn't had any real biggish names bands in since the opening night with My Latest Novel and The Grim Northern Social.
