Recommended Posts

cdlaunch.JPG

just to repeat what the poster states:

Stable Table Promotions and Zoghurt Records have combined forces to create a gig marking the release of the holy folks new EP!

It starts around 8pm on Sunday 10th September at Kilau Coffee Shop - on little belmont street.

Not only will the Holy Folks be strumming, singing, plucking, bashing and crashing...Paul Thain of Onion Terror Fame will be performing his self proclaimed ONE TRUE ONION set!... also Mart from : ( [colonopenbracket] is gonna showcase a one off solo set!

Its free entry so please pop along - maybe pick up a copy of the short EP or just a couple of cups of coffe/tea/orange juce/hot coco/milk/7up...or whatever!

get there early for a good seat!

what does he do? A solo set with his laptop i think...i could be wrong.

I'm guessing by his solo stuff pre-colonopenbracket that'll probably be a backing track with live vocals.

I personally think that the solo stuff was better on stage that : ( I assume he'll be doing colonopenbracket material though it'd be awesome if he played, "gates of steel" and "Running up the hill" again :D

I'll certainly be there, but remind me nearer the time cos my memory isn't the best.

That was possibly the best I've heard/seen The Holy Folks yet.

The sound in Kilau suited them perfectly and the new songs are brilliant.

Certainly have came a long way from a year ago.

Fantastic.

thanks to everyone who came along, and extra thanks to those that bought a CD (anyone got any feedback from that btw, anything would be appreciated)

disapointed mart didnt play more as i loved the first song he played, and the half of the next one.

one true onion was awesome though, paul's just as suited to solo stuff as he is with Onion Terror imo, he can hold a crowd very well.

thought our set was alright, we couldnt hear much of each other on stage but glad it sounded ok out front. forgetting to write down a setlist meant we missed out some new songs that had been rehearsed but its all good.
