Camie
I can't believe it was 7/10 pounds for local bands to be honest.Shocking.I did hear Hot Mangu were on fire last night though.
stevealex35
I know it was pretty steep!! i think 5 quid is the most that the majority of people would pay to see a local band bill. Still, was a quality night!! We had fun.Steve
RicoAUBL
we also had much fun :]we're running a bus down to the carling academy in glasgow on the 25th if anyone is interested..
GIBBY HAYNES
Total bollocks, Right Hand Left pissed all over eveyone, typical Ememgenza whole thing rigged, and as for the goat with the mullet from nemis he really needs to buy some Audiclean (and some new clothes)

soundman56
Emergenza fixedTotal bollocks' date=' Right Hand Left pissed all over eveyone, typical Ememgenza whole thing rigged, and as for the goat with the mullet from nemis he really needs to buy some Audiclean (and some new clothes)[/quote']Can't agree more with you. Mangu were good but rumour has it they have been planning the Carling gig for a while now !! so how did they know they were going? RHL were way better than the kicks and had far and away the biggest support on the night but it appears they were merely being used (again) to supply the crowd (money !!) because without them there would have only been a handful of people at the tunnels. All quite sad really but it is about time RHL started telling these so called "organizers" where to stick their competitions.
Guest MDP
i'd say hot mangu had far more of the crowd than RHL, but i do agree they were better than little kicks
Daniel
do the bands have to pay to enter Emergenza?
Guest MDP
50 i think, but i remember reading that it is a one-off price, and you can enter emergenza as many years in a row as you like without repaying, also you get free stuff from them. Camie
Free stuff? What like?Bands should not have to pay to play. It was the bands that got emergenza the crowd, not emergenza.
Guest MDP
they get a set of guitar strings, a set of bass strings, a drum skin, free plec's and some other stuff (i think)

Because I haven't seen you post anything else on this entire fucking site, and the band members probably cringe to read it.
bobg1will
aye hot mangu were superb! footballs and free sweeties! how are we supposed to compete? ha! the crowd were amazing and it was good to see a gig run pretty smooth with quick change overs! and although the compere was a big lanky puff i thought he worked really well! and it wasn't pay to play! framheim
what's the deal with this emergenza thing then? what is it? why would you pay £50 to play in a battle of the bands?

framheim
Where have you been? There have been quite a few 'lively' discussions - Take your pick... ah, still don't know why folk would pay 50 to 'enroll' with that company. they don't seem to do anything you can't do yourself.
