KarmaTsunami Posted March 30, 2006 Report Share Posted March 30, 2006 My answer used to automatically be Deftones, but now they're kinda' sharing the top spot with The Smashing Pumpkins.Deftones were the first band I heard that really made me go 'woah'. They are heavy, melodic, Chino has a fan-fucking-tastic voice and 'Be Quiet and Drive' can still make me all blurry eyed. All round great musician-ship and they improved ten-fold after geting Frank Delgado in. He just adds an extra dimension to their sound. Smashing Pumpkins - First rock band I saw live, the only double album I own is by them, amazing songs to suit every mood. And, Jimmy Chamberlain, need I say more? The more I listen to them, the more I love them.Recent favourites probably include - The New Pornographers, Pelican, The Decemberists. I just love everything about their music, they have released five albums in a row that I have found comletely stunning and they don't look like stopping. There are loads of artists i think i would have never gotten into if it had not been for radiohead.
