I've been trying to get rid of Film4 from my Sky subscription for MONTHS. All call centres are like this. The longest I waited in queue was 3 hours and 25 minutes!

The longest BT have ever made me wait was less than an hour..

Apparently if you don't press any buttons when they ask you to, you get put through to someone straight away because they think your phone is so fucked you can't even press the buttons.

Thanks for the heads up about Film4. I was thinking about getting that but if it's a nightmare to get rid of it, I shant!

Wrong - I got a call once from an elderly lady who phoned from her neigbour's becasue she didn't have a touchtone phone, and thus couldn't get past the automated menu. Another impressed customer!

Tip to the thread starter - if it's 150 you're calling, press '9' before the menu kicks in - it will bypass the menu and stick you up the queue (slightly).......

the '9' option also works on 151 as well. or so i'm told. i didn't notice any difference. even transferring the customer takes ages. mind you, when i phoned up customer services last week, i got through no problem..
