Exodus this Saturday

Recommended Posts

Is it still necessary to make requests for a Saturday night? Dave seems to be making a good job without much prompting of late, but it may take a little more than a thimble of sherry to pass these particular bills:

Consolation Prize - Orange Juice

The Concept - Teenage Fanclub

Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before - The Smiths

(a fey indie triple wammy to send a clear message to any smelly longhairs who may have dragged their knuckles over the threshold)

Party Fears Two - Associates

Fascist Groove Thing - Heaven 17

Bedsitter - Soft Cell

(custom made for the dancefloor)

Hanging on the Telephone - Blondie

Suffragette City - David Bowie

The Fly - U2

(the populist choice)

Follow the Leaders - Killing Joke

Rememberance Day - B-movie

(obscure, but they couldn't be more perfect for the dancefloor, and they can be found on John Peel's Festive Fifty 1981)

Never Understand - Jesus and the Mary Chain

Let's Not Belong Together - Paul Westerberg

(em, miscellaneous)

Teen Angst - M83

First of the Gang to Die - Morrissey

Born On A Train - The Magnetic Fields

Morning Night and Day - New Order

(some newish ones for the kids)

Please remember, I have yet to do anything to cause the withdrawal of my requesting rights (other than attempting to disable the Power Flower), and it was me who originally asked for Western Battle, and I didn't punctuate the request with "ya cuuuuuunts" :D

These all get my vote. U2 especially. A wonderous chorus.

Sequelization, haha, "Ancient Mariner II: The Albatross Strikes Back". I got my account deleted, but decided I wanted to return, so I thought I better keep some continuity with my username.

Thanks in advance for the playing of a few of the above tracks. There may be liquid rewards if you make The Last Big Weekend before the exams a memorable one, as I'm sure you will.

Guest stuartmaxwell
I was giving her DJ lessons

 did she find it difficult to work the crossfader? or was it the holding/drinking of a pint that she had problems with?

a drenched narc was a particularly humourous sight

You shouting "cum bucket" at the top of your voice was also particularly hilarious.

You haven't joined the elite and been thrown out too have you :D

I think myself and Stringbean are gonna get t-shirts printed.....

No I wasn't thrown out. The bouncer was actually very understanding. One of the said girls, however, has only recently turned 18, having used her sisters ID to get in for about a year now. So she is the real candidate for being thrown out.

I'll still have the tshirt, though...

Adam you got your rocks off with a tasty specimen. *Salutes*

Whereas our night took a distinctly comic turn with the "let's get Narc thrown out" idiocy that transpired.

I only heard of this coke-related madness the other day.

Amused me greatly pre-Clutch despite the sadness of the tale. :D
