NARC
Is anyone watching the Scottish 500? Is it just me or is Alistair Darling a question-evading little prick?Alex Salmond is doing very well, his finger is very much on the pulse. Laxton's Superb
very few politicians ever directly answer the questions though, you can tell he's struggling though, especially on the national insurance question!i like watching him squirm
Laxton's Superb
salmond does seem far and away the most sincere
lil_kazzy
I watched it last night. Salmond was the only one that answered questions, and the only one who knew what he was talking about. He also got alistair darling pretty annoyed, which was rather funny. Was impressed with the performance anyway, think snp will do good. Doc Ascension
I've always liked Salmond, I think he's a truly great politician. Perhaps he's not really sincere deep down, but the fact that he comes across as a truly passionate and sincere leader really helps. Good man, he should be Prime Minister of Scotland I say! Guest tv tanned
Watching Alistair Darling try to keep turning every question into a 'vote Labour or you get the Tories' response was as predictable as it was nauseating. Is it any wonder folk are turned off politics? There was a segment where three individual questions were asked by different members of the audience. Salmond answered all three, Duncan slagged off Salmond, Darling didn't answer any and made a party political broadcast, and by the time it came to poor wee Malcolm Bruce he'd forgotten what the questions were I try and watch these shows through the eyes of an undecided voter, and it still made me think Salmond was the most credible. Bruce came across OK I thought, but the voting record of the Lib Dems at Holyrood is his biggest problem.
Wishbone G
Ive just got really annoyed with the politicians focussing on slagging the other parties off, rather than focussing on positive sides of what they intend to do with the country! Laxton's Superb
this is the biggest problem the SNP have, not laying into anyone in particular, but general ignorance....the name may entail nationalism and independence etc, but look beyond it and there are very real issues, hardly a one policy party! Me and Parvati
I watched him a couple of days ago. I just couldnt get over his eyebrows! :|Aye, and you should have seen him when he had a beard; my ex. thought he looked sexy as hell. I reckon he shaved it off when the grey bits started showing. Vanity, vanity!
Hog
There was one thing which impressed me about me about Salmond. He sent a letter to Gordon Brown asking for a debate regarding why Scotland has a far poorer economy that the rest of the UK and why he hasnt done anything to help. Im not going to vote SNP but Salmond had a point.
