  1. I'll support your cause when you learn the difference between "your" and "you're". Ta.

Nothing's original these days. I was writing a song and then discovered I was doing a cover of "Sex on Fire", a song I despise, without even noticing. It happens, and there's not much you can do.
  3. Imagine drunk SCOTTISH folk trying to light a fire...
  4. I'll have a look. I might have mentioned, it's really for live things (as I don't use my acoustic in an amp for recording) so a loop wouldn't be going longer than probably 6 minutes max. Thanks for the input though, appreciate it.
  5. Never got a chance to hear this, gutted, really. Hope it went well, anyway.
  6. I'm looking at loop pedals, and I'd like to hear if anyone else has one (or has had one at some point). Just so I can get a feel for names and brands etc. to look out for. Doesn't have to be acoustic, just loop pedals in general. Thanks!
  7. True that! It's chucking snow as well...
  8. I'd probably explode if I heard myself on the radio. (in a good way, mind you.)
  9. Just curious, but is anyone here annoyed/furious that the X Factor have killed 'their band's' song (as it seems the opinion is on Facebook and the likes)? If so, listen to the audio message that comes with Matt Cardle's iTunes single thing.
  10. Not gonna lie, the new stuff, in my opinion, is a country mile better. A taste thing, I guess.
  11. Did I say singer? Meant Wire. Mainly just the attitude he has in interviews.
  12. I'm quite slow on the uptake of music so just bought Winter of Mixed Drinks on vinyl. Ahahaa.
  13. Surf rock - try Y Niwl. Welsh, true, but pretty bloomin' good Y Niwl on Myspace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads (Edit: Pronounced "Uh New-l", apparently)
  14. I sort of like Manics, just a shame their singer's a bit of a prick.
  15. I get Matt Smith (Dr Who) a LOT. Especially from schoolchildren.
  16. You're very welcome, and I do still think you're good at what you're doing. That means absolutely nothing - just go for it. Think about it, those people turned up to see a band play - make them notice you, catch their attention. You're playing to 20 people, sure, but they're 20 potential fans.
  17. Hmm... there's not one that'll show you CPU load. I reckon it's iTunes or something, probably.
  18. Arctic Monkeys have been announced for Oxegen, and since we generally share headliners with them, they're probably a good shout.
  19. Definitely, definitely need to show a little bit more enthusiasm. I'm very anti-metal as a genre myself but the songs sound like something you could at least move to on-stage. Robert Knight has a good point with the bandname, too. And the stage thing.
  20. It's actually not old in the slightest, it just refuses to record and play at the same time with 3+ tracks (when there are other programs open). Close the programs, it's fine. I don't know, it just sounds a little fuzzy, but I'll agree that suits the style of song (alt-folk, sorta lo-fi).
  21. I'm not gonna pretend I know what much of that even means, really, but sounds pretty good. I don't think I can help you too much with electric guitar recording (being acoustic myself) but that sounds like a whole lot of tracks for a laptop to handle (although it seems to have managed - my MacBook Pro can only cope with around three unless every other program is closed).
  22. This is the first time in my time as an Aberdeen fan that I genuinely think we'd lose to anyone in the league.
  23. What's your setup here, then? 8 track or something?

Ahh! Sorry, then! Awkward now. Didn't know that... Interesting!
