  1. I (Football Heaven - Home Page - Football badges, souvenirs and memorabilia.) need some banners ads so maybe a wee project there too.
  2. I think you should chain yourself to the door of Moshulu until that 2 is refunded. Maybe its a new style student tax, you know, the goverment taking something back? Or something.
  3. From The Jams US Tour's just been cancelled due to Bruce Foxtons missus losing her battle against cancer. When will we stop funding fucking wars and get this monster sorted. PAT FOXTON DIES Pat Foxton, former employee of EMI and CBS/Sony, and wife of The Jam's Bruce Foxton, has died during a course of intensive treatment for cancer in Tel Aviv. Foxton began her career in the music industry when she joined EMI-owned United Artists/Liberty Records as a press officer back in 1979, working with the likes of Don MacLean and Gerry Rafferty. She moved to CBS Records in 1981, and during nine years with the company worked with artists such as Michael Jackson, Abba, The Pet Shop Boys, Wham, Dead Or Alive and The Stranglers. Foxton, nee Stead, married Bruce Foxton in 1984, and it was only a few years later, in 1989, that she was initially diagnosed with cancer. She left CBS Records, by that time owned by Sony, and devoted her time to working with charities and encouraged music celebrities such as George Michael and Mariah Carey to support the causes she was concerned with. Paul Russell, who was chairman of CBS Records during Foxton's time there, told Music Week: "She had poise, charm and was extremely gracious. Old fashioned words, but fundamental if you are going to get your own way without ever raising your voice - which Pat never did. Pat Foxton had the full deck. She looked like a model, married a rock star, never flaunted it and was just extraordinarily hard working and brilliant at her job. She had a sense of humor that demanded intelligence to appreciate. She could wind me round her little finger and I never admit to that lightly. He continued: "Her family's support has been totally extraordinary but not unexpected. I am just so sad that this amazing woman who fought so inspirationally for her life has now left a vacuum that can only be filled by our reverence for her courage and humility. I am very proud to have called her a friend".
  4. Mr RAM will indeed be in the building. *taps nose*
  5. ...and to add a booking fee when paying at the door? Gig going FAIL.
  6. He bought me a pint in a pub beside Kings Cross Station in London a few years back. FACT. He didnt mention playing Fitzpatricks though.
  7. I enjoyed this band very much, hope they came back to ABZ soon.
  8. List the games you lazy bugger.
  9. I thought the entire show was an embarassment for so many reasons. The hosts, the unknowledgable guests, (apart from Flowers and the Hoff of course)... ...I bet you guys on here would come up with better winners (for a few of the categories)too. PS That bird from the Ting Tings captivates me.
  10. For what its worth I've started using you more and more lately. I only know of the site because of a link to a preview I found on here. Drummonds is certainly one that needs an online pressence date and artistwise, and the Tunnels site is usually a bit behind too. Good work fella, keep at it.
  11. I'm still finding this a pain in the arse. *takes a chill pill*
  12. Might be an idea to put a date in there as well.
  13. Kinda cool I think. Anyone on from this 'ere forum?
  14. *offers a Live Aid dvd box set* Also have a freebie...a vhs video, Stiff Little Fingers - See You Up There.
  15. That'd be a strange transaction lol. I may well be in town that night anyway so wouldnt discount my presence. *googles `funk`* lol
  16. I could make use of that fella...
  17. I didnt mean it as a complaint Dave, more that'd be handy to find all a particular nights events in one place thats all. I know theres new myspace effort but thats missing a lot of listings too. (and the colour scheme is very wrong :-( ) Just a wee bit of feedback.
  18. ...would it not be an idea to put the date in the thread title too? Looking to see whats on Drummonds tonight and cannot find it, not the first time either. And the a-m site listing for tonight has no mention of it either.
  19. Britney Spears? Or did I miss the whole point? (likely!)
  20. Primal Scream at the Music Hall. Wanted to see them for years and on the night I thought the sound quality was utter rank, and that the set list was done in a very strange order. Only the `old` songs got any real response from the crowd. An othe other hand, a show that I was pleasently surprised with was the Goo Goo Dolls at the same venue. Only about a zillion times better than I thought it would be. Cheeeezy American rock perhaps but worked for me!
  21. Actually, its a lot better than it used to be imo.
