  1. Hey,

    I'm definitely interested.

You looking for cash only, or would you be up for a part-ex deal?

I've got a 14 x 3.5" Premier Modern Classic maple piccolo snare in v.g.c., with matching HardCase that is surplus to requirements which I would be prepared to swap. Snare alone was 200.

    Let me know.

    Neil

    Hi Neil,

Sorry I'm looking for the cash at the moment, i've just bought a Noble and Cooley and a Mapex Black Panther snare in the last few weeks, so I need the cash in as I'm looking for some other bits and bobs, and my missus is making my ears bleed with her nagging!

  2. I have for sale a Pearl Eliminator RH2000 Remote Hi-Hat, it's in perfect condition. I paid 200 for it including the twist clamp, and am looking to sell for 120 ONO. Just thought I'd put it up here before sticking it on E-bay.

    PM if interested.

    Tunker

  3. one wee thing tho, you do know a clutch will cost you about 2 to replace yeah? I know its not the point but if that saves you a bit of hassle with the venue, i could get my hands on a second hand one cheap as well if it helps smooth over the venue.

But i really would tell all the bands involved in the night that unless it is returned then none of them will get a gig with you again. I know it seems harsh but unless you know which band did it then ban them all. Ive got no time for theives.

I see you're point, but then again the value dosen't really metter does it? My understanding was that the whole hi hat was taken, and a broken one left in place, the whole stand can't be replaced for 2.

I reckon we get all the bands involved, and kick there cunts up and down Union Street until whoever took it owns up, and I'm tellin you I have size 11s and could kick all day if need be!

  4. Tunk's better half or P!nk?

If it is my better half i'm sure we could come to a suitable financial arrangement?

Lucy, on the half chance that you are reading this, can I just stress if you had let me take money out of the joint savings to buy that drum I wanted, I wouldn't be trying to sell you're ass online, learn a valuable lesson from this young lady! :moody:

  5. I went to see Pink last night, it's not my normal cup of tea, but I thought the whole gig was absolutely brilliant. I was a little disappointed she did so many covers, but they were covers I appreciated I guess, and they were done really well so I'll let her off.

Also wanted to say as a drummer I only really went to see Mark Schuman on the drums, I'd read a mass of articles on his playing in clincs etc over the years and really wanted to check him out. He was sensational, I realize as one of the top session players in the World that he probably should be good, but his overall performance totally blew me away. He really attacked the kit, his playing and technique were flawless, and he even threw in a load of showmanship with the Thomas Lang style stick tricks.

Finally wanted to say how good I thought support Raygun were, definately gonna keep an eye out for them, reminded me of a modern Hipsway! Overall was a great night.

  6. Well I'm sure since you have specified that you are looking for a "Covers" band that you won't be interested in this, but myself and good guitarist buddy (Lame Guitarist) are looking for a bass player for an "original" band. He has some great material waiting, very rock orientated stuff, if you are interested give PM me.

PS, you are very brave admitting you are looking to be part of a covers band on this site. I have to watch my back everyday with fear of being linched for admitting I play in Covers and Tribute bands on this site!

PPS, Don't you just love my use of Quotation marks in my first paragraph? Beautiful!

  7. I think you completely missed my point, i wasn't saying people will be sitting there worrying that somethings going to go wrong with the chopper im saying it'll be in their heads whats happened. Guys offshore can relate to the whole procedure of getting excited bout going home, watching the safety video, suiting up, grabbing a paper and speaking to your back to back then getting on the chopper - there was nothing in my post indicating i was over-reacting all i was saying is that they'll be thoughts of whats just happened. All this crossing the road or car crash bolloxs has nothing to do with it.

And more importantly than all that not once did i mention or blame anyone on the cause of the crash, im one for waiting to hear the facts instead of listening to some gobshite that doesn't know FA, so you don't need to keep on about it.

Chill out man, this thread shouldn't be about having a go at each other. People have died, this thread is not the place for shite like above!

  8. This is 100% true. I heard your bosses fucked over the whole UK though Dave :finger:

In all seriousness though, even offshore catering staff get paid more than me. I've yet to meet someone who works offshore that gets any less that 18,000 a year. I would quite happily get on that cock so to speak.

Anyways, its sad that this accident happened and i feel really sorry for the families of the guys killed.

Is it really worth getting out of bed for less than 18K a year anyway?
