  1. What kind of bands and what sort of set up would it be? Take it this is a new thing going down.

Yeh it's something Tiger hope to do every Friday for the foreseeable future. The venue music hall holds 500, and the venue provide all PA equipment, but as you'd expect back lines need to be provided. There is a stage being hired in for the gigs, and a fantastic dressing room is being reserved for the bands, as well as band riders

The night is aimed at mostly Rock/Indie bands, the management are working hard and spending a lot of money on trying to make the Friday Night Session a real success.

  2. Tiger Tiger

Not sure if everyone is aware, but Tiger Tiger have started doing bands on a Friday night. The plan is to hold a regular live music night every friday, open to pretty much all Indie/rock bands. The bands are set to play from 10-1, with the rest of the night being DJ's playing top Indie/Rock tracks.

Tiger is really working hard to make this work, they have made an incredible dressing room, will be hiring in a stage for gig nights, already have a top of the range inhouse sound system (which is being tested) and are willing to supply cracking riders to get in bands. The band area can hold up to 500. so if we work with Tiger this could become a really good live music venue for a Friday night.

I have been asked to organize the bookings, so If anyone is interested in a gig at Tiger, please contact me at scott@rsdltd.co.uk or on 07792347766.

    Cheers

  3. Howie you are indeed a wanker. A number of people have warned me off you and believe me, you have proved them all right. Wonder why you ain't playing ?

Hey Daz, you've made another fan I see!

I never knew Snowie had an account on here, this is obviously a post by him

  4. Na, I'll leave that to you, Mark and Massie! I think at some point the Shitey hand print story needs an airing on here, but maybe not quite yet![/quote

I agree. The xtra strong mint story too!!!

    nuff said.

I think that one needs to be kept inhouse, I don't think the person in question would be overly impressed!

  5. That's yer 2nd warning Tunker. Ageist and homophobic in the same week. You are one dirty fat fucker.

Al, you're very brave for a bald man (please don't tell davie I was baldist), you black Niggery Cunt! 3 Shots, He shoots, He Scores!

  6. there is only one reason i would need a greenie pole thats to help that auld cooper put his washin oot maybe he is posh and has a tumble dryer not like us,

Tinks: I think I might be a bit old for your band but i wish you guys all the best of luck in finding the right one

I Howie, you're an old cunt right enough!

  7. Yeah, he does pick the players....but have you seen the size and more importantly, the quality of the rest of our squad? If he drops all these guys who have let him down who have we got in reserve that can form an even remotely competitive side? I'm not sure he's awash with options.

The bottom line is that if we bin the manager, whoever we get next will be put into an even worse financial situation than Jimmy is at the moment, and he hasn't exactly had a pot of gold to work with over the years. Furthermore, as I alluded to earlier, I have very serious doubts about whether any manager can motivate a player who fails to raise his game for a Cup QF, especially a player who experienced the QoS disaster the previous year.

Who do you realistically think we can get that's better? Seems to me that everyone's calling for his head, without any sensible plan B.

I hear Big Bird from Sesame Street is looking for work. He probably has the same footballing capabilities as most people connected with Aberdeen Football Club, and he'll carry on the same ridiculous manager colour Motif that Calderwood has being bright orange!

  8. Agree with a lot of this but the fact remains we should beat Dunfermline in a one off(ok two..) game. Simple as. Aluko maybe a second rate Championship player but he was up against second rate ex SPL SHITE! He wasn't given the ball enough and i think Foster found the dugout more with his passing than any Aberdeen players. Now he is shite....cocky twat that he is , would have put my life on him missing that pen.

but yeah i'm not saying Aberdeen are world beaters but the bottom line is they fucked it up...

Thats the point I was (am) trying to make is, I don't think Aberdeen can expect to turn up and beat 1st division teams. I don't think there is a massive gap between the divisions, I think Dunfermiline could regulary compete with most teams in the SPL, probably with the exception of the Old firm, but isn't that the case within the SPL anyway, hence why the Old firm are constantly like 20-30 points clear most seasons. And again lets face it, both old firm teams are as poor as they have ever been.

Most Aberdeen players and I accept there are a few exceptions, would struggle to get a game for most other SPL teams, and would probably end up at 1st division clubs! How many Aberdeen players have went on to play for and succeed at bigger clubs at a higher level? I suggest very few

  9. Lets face it Aberdeen are a poor side, the so called better players are not particularly great in my opinion! Lets look at it, Diamond I feel is totally over rated, although he does give 100% for the club. Aluko, has great potential but he's never influences a game for long enough, and lets face it he's only here because Aberdeen was the best offer he had, does everyone really think Birmingham would have let him go if he was a top notch player?

I think Aberdeen have some great players, but they are certainly not playing below there standard. Severin, really can't be assed playing for Aberdeen anymore, he wants better wages in England and will be away in the summer. Lee Miller is a great player, but he doesn't score enough goals to be classed as a top striker. And Mark Kerr really frustrates me, I thionk he is a fantastic fighter, never gives the ball away and is always trying to win it back, but he never really creates anything, I feel he needs to be a bit more adventurous, there has been so many times over the few weeks that he's seen a goal opportunity and turned to pass the ball back to an absolute donkey who has given it away, I think Kerr is brilliant, and if he starts being a little more positive on the ball he'd be even better.

And the Calderwood issue, what more can he do with what he's got? He has no money, and has taken in probably the best that has been available to him. I think eveyone has a very short memory, he's turned a team which was on the brink of destruction into a team which is on the brink of Europe and gauranteed a top 6 finish. I think he has also helped ensure that Aberdeen runs within the financial means that it has.

  10. Go on then, I'll bite - who do you support? Or are you just one of those Aberdonians who delights in the Dons' failures?

Not that I disagree with the second part of your post (although nobody really believes that, it's a Glasgow press-created fallacy designed to make us look like cunts).

I'm actually a Caley Thistle fan, but we can admit were shite! But you have to support you're Home town club and all that. But I now live in Aberdeen, and although I am not an Aberdonian, I still delight in Aberdeen's failures, so lets face it, I'm pretty much delighted all the time

  11. You'd probably see it differently if you supported a 1st division team. Or, if you had reached the cup final I'm sure you'd be quite happy to take a UEFA place next season.

Regardless of its validity, the rule is there, everyone knows about it and it should be added incentive to get to the final. I find it quite amusing that people piss and moan about it; the beauty of cup competitions is that anyone is capable of getting to the final, that's the whole premise.

It's hardly the fault of lower division clubs that the Old Firm hold a complete monopoly on the top two places in the league, leaving the cup runners up with a UEFA spot. The simple solution for you would be to beat the lower teams. If you can't manage that and you can't finish high enough in the SPL, then you don't deserve a spot in Europe. Simples.

I thought it brilliant that Jim White couldn't keep the smile off his face once the game was over, he was almost pissing himself laughing after every question he asked Charlie Nicholas.

For everyone who still thinks Aberdeen are a big club, you're wrong, Aberdeen ain't famous anymore. Last night just proved how Pish they actually are. A diddy team playing in a diddy league

  12. I got a 60 fine for parking outside Drummonds in November last year, I contested the fine and it was up held, so I paid it. The argument i received from the Council was that Belmont St was a Gold zone, so no cars were ever permitted, so at no time could I be there for any reason! However I contacted the council before we played last week to see what the script was, and was told that I could have 15 minutes if I was unloading. So I contacted the Council again to try and get my fine money back, as on the initial occassion I was only parked for 10 mins tops, well within the guide lines given, and was told there was no way my money could be refunded.

Now I think we need traffic Warden and they have a really hard job. But I think it is totally unfair that I am out of pocket because they either don't understand or know the laws, and incorrect desicions were not reversed, if there was consistency between them, I wouldn't mind so much.

  13. Sanctuary are playing in the Mont-er-ose British Legion on Friday

    different Sanctuary?

Yep. Sorry man man, you'll need to wait longer to see the hunky Sexytunk in action, I can feel you're disappointment from here!

My Sanctuary a tribute to 80's Rockers The Cult. I think the Sanctuary from Montrose are a standard covers band. However, we are due to be playing the Black Abbott in Montrose soon, and the Viewfield in Arbroath? So do please come check us out.

    Cheers

    Tunker

  14. Ah, so she didn't fulfil her end of the deal then.

Forget what I said, carry on with the character assassination.

 (just for old times sake)

No No I've made my point and it's off my chest, character assassination over!

See, I knew you still loved me.

  15. You got what you agreed beforehand didn't you?

Although I agree that not giving you a few free guesties and maybe a pint or two for the support is a bit stingy, since they can easily be hidden in the books, the contract was fulfilled.

You're in the music business, you got burned in a business deal. Chalk it down to experience and learn from your mistakes.

Ian what happened to the hugs and bozies I got years ago?

Yeh I agree! But she also agreed there would be no ticket sales, if we knew there would be ticket sales we would definately have went for a %. She made an absolute killing that night, she could have at least tried to "look after us".

  16. I do not like Catherine Zeta Jones.

Unlucky for you. (although I can't imagine I'm the audience you're catering for)

Ah you're a gay. Well for you're type, imagine Brad Pitt or something.

(If you really are gay, I meant no offence by this, it was just male playground humour, GRRR)

  17. I've always wondered, tunk...just how sexy ARE you!?

Well first of all Treader can I say, how delighted I am that you spend time thinking of my sexyness!

To answer you're question. Have you ever seen Catherine Zeta Jones in Entrapment, the scene where she is crawling under the laser beams? I'm as sexy as that scene, Iknow I know, pretty damn sexy!
