I was hoping we'd really make a game of it yesterday. I think Broon got his tactics wrong in how he set the team up. When I saw the formation my first thought was how McNamee was going to cope with Izzaguire and Commons getting down the left. Would have been better playing 4-4-2 and having some extra support with a right midfielder. Looks like we'll have to make do with the double this year. Dissapointing really.

I reckon this would be a big influence. I actually really rate Adam and his progress over the last couple of seasons has been outstanding and keeping in mind he is still at a good age. Liverpool would be a big step up but if he continues to improve in a better team then he could end up being an asset. His range of passing is a big part of his game but I think that is an attractive attribute to a lot of teams in starting attacks and releasing wide players and strikers playing off of the shoulders of the defenders. Don't know if he is worth the figures that are being mentioned but I think there is the potential for him to improve further. It will be a real make or break move for him if he gets his way. DISCLAIMER - Still a hun though.

To be fair, I don't think it can be held against him handing in a transfer request if he wants to go to a club like Liverpool (assuming it has been the Liverpool bid that has turned his head). No disrespect to Blackpool but even if they stay up this season they will still be relegation favourites next season whereas he has a chance to go to a club with the potential to win trophies in the coming seasons. He may well go there and end up being a benchwarmer but he'd regret not taking a chance like this if it never comes round again.
