  1. It was fairly crazy, though partly because both teams didn't seem to bother with old-fashioned conventions like defending. Some good finishing too though. Klopp's going to have a big bill for glasses if they carry on like that.

  3. Ward was on the bench for Liverpool last night, so already seems to be ahead of Bogdan in the pecking order. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he starts in the replay against Exeter.
  4. 'Done' Howe: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35171937
  5. I did a list. The top two were the really outstanding ones but there were a lot of other good things from a wide range of sources. 6. Leicester are going to win the league.
  7. One of my favourite records at the moment is 'Weaving' by Jo Johnson. This isn't Boris's cabinet minister brother but Jo Johnson who used to play guitar in pioneering riot grrrls Huggy Bear. She makes different music now though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnjk-5BFprE
  8. The new series of Fargo is really, really good. Even better than the first. Maybe even better than the film.
  9. Have a ticket for ATP Iceland in July next year: https://www.atpfestival.com/events/atpiceland2016 Gives me a good excuse to visit Iceland and the line up is decent so far. Direct and relatively cheap flights from Aberdeen at the moment too, so it's worth considering.
  10. Will also have a think but suspect I might be a week or two off doing anything very definitive. Even though not many new albums come out in December I often tend to hear stuff for the first time around now (sometimes from other end of year lists). Quite a lot of good albums this year, I reckon.
  11. This may have some other meaning, but was he posting his 'to do list' here?
  12. Even though the standard of football in the Premier League hasn't been that high this season, it could turn out to be a really interesting season. It's pretty hard to tell how things will go at this stage and I don't think the main contenders for the title or the top 4 will really be apparent until the new year, once everyone has played all the other teams once. I guess the contrast between Leicester and Chelsea demonstrates that you can still do a lot with team work and a coherent strategy. If those things break down then you might not do well even if you've got a great squad.
  13. Artists who specialise in funny songs are mostly okay e.g. Half Man Half Biscuit. The problem is when you get regular comedians trying to do songs or regular musicians trying to be funny. In 'Ironic' you're getting both of those together, which is probably why it's so utterly terrible. Plus it's an awful song in the first place.
  14. I guess it works though. She now has an article in a national newspaper with the video of her song embedded, so yeah... Having 'invented' the MySpace promotion to number one single route she's now invented the Facebook meltdown to article in national newspaper route. Sandi's a shrewd operator.
  15. The great thing is that it's both a typical footballer nickname and a way of pronouncing his real name. Klopp makes everything simple. Just call him 'Eye-bee' and get on with it. His next job is to stop Emre Can kicking the ball to attackers in his own penalty area. He'll know the German for 'Row Z Emre' though, I should think.
  16. I don't know about you but I've been puzzled for a long time about the correct way to pronounce Jordon Ibe's surname. As it's a Nigerian name it should really be 'E Bay' but apparently the player says it as it's spelt: 'Ibe'. I don't need to wonder about how to say it any more though:

  18. One of the other best things to happen in 2015 is the first new album in 19 years by the Chills: http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2015/oct/23/the-chills-comeback-album-silver-bullets-listen One of the absolute greatest bands ever and it sounds kind of like they've never been away. Everyone should check this out.
  19. Well Blind definitely wasn't playing for the 0-0.
  20. It was really good - shame it was disallowed. One of those moments where it looks as though a player has genuinely forgotten which way he's kicking. Or maybe he just thought he was playing for Arsenal and a cracking own goal was the done thing:
  21. One of the best things to happen in 2015 has been the first new album in fifteen years by Flying Saucer Attack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsDaMVAdH4M
