  1. I went to see Mario Caribe at the aberdeen jazz festival and the pianist was so mental, he was really giving his piano hell battering it and plucking the strings on the inside etc, really just being a great showman. A personal favourite though was when i played onstage madly drunk at a gig in stonehaven and knocked over the mics, that sucked.
  2. The bezerkers music scares me you can't deny that there massively talented to play at the speeds they do, I mean i've seen live videos of the drummer playing incomprehensibly fast drum beats
  3. To be honest i don't walk into a store and buy an album for its artwork. If that were the case i'd be an artist. I'm looking forward to the music!
  4. black matters available! check us out www.myspace.com/blackmatteraberdeen or www.purevolume.com/blackmatteraberdeen
  5. thanks very much dude! that's awesome, really looking forward to playing!
  6. I think the conclusion is that the effort put into it is immence but to some it can be seen as bland.
  7. funeral for a friend will probably ruin damage inc. but i'll have a listen anyway
  8. also be sure to get a converter that allows you to convert the whole song as i downloaded a converter and only noticed it converted 60% of the song once id uploaded my songs to the net

  10. not this friday but the next Hell yeah we got on real well with those guys' date=' james was really receptive and approachable and so was bob, there guitarist. Damn that guys got some skills! They also have some really great tunes. If you ever see James again tell him we'd definintly be interested in setting up a gig again out in Stonehaven sometime. He can get me at [email']sponge_bean@hotmail.com or www.myspace.com/blackmatteraberdeen.
  11. black matter are available check out the site for some tunes! www.purevolume.com/blackmatteraberdeen
  12. I like a few of there songs but only in moderation, they have that kind of style that too much is irritating. There pretty fresh and have that hook I spose and to be able to sing those lyrics to such melodies is pretty cool.
  13. For some reason it really reminds me of Lateralus. Same colour sort of but different image.
  14. I was discussing the subject of why Aberdeen doesn't get many popular, mainstream artists or groups to the city with a workmate a few weeks ago. The last major hyped up gig that was mainstream would most likely be Pittodrie which proposed a promising future for concerts to be held there. I believed that Aberdeen was a very receptive city as an audience at concerts/gigs etc but my workmate told me that hardly and mainstream bands make the trip to Aberdeen because the Aberdeen crowds are renowned for being a really bad audience and booing etc. To be honest it doesn't bother me that the mainstream artists don't come to Aberdeen but it would however, give the city a boost musically and would give Aberdeen bands more of a chance possibly. Is this true about Aberdeen crowds? What's your thoughts on the general attitudes of the crowds of Aberdeen?
  15. songs can be written about anything. But the best way to write lyrics I personally find, maybe not for yourself, is to draw from a personal experience and give it a punctual twist that only you would understand. You will find it very hard to open up with your lyrics and show people but only you would understand and if people ask you to explain them its up to you. As for the music I find that comes naturally but i hope i could chip in a bit for you there!
  16. Does anyone hear know when the best time is to catch Paul (the owner of kef) because whenever i phone he never answers?!
  17. It's not very rock and roll to have fag breaks in the middle of sets either. I've been thinking about the cigarette ban and my overall thoughts is its a good thing but it would majorly suck if your audience slowly dwindled away to go for a fag. THAT would suck
  18. Hey guys i'm the lead guitarist and vocalist in Black Matter and yes to scottST we are a new band, but we can assure you that we'll put on a good show for you all.
