  1. The technical name for it is called "Cowbell with ball on rod"
  2. I've been listening to Hadouken for a while now, and really like that sort of whatever you'd call it music. Thing is I have no clue of any other bands that sound like that, as I listen to hardcore mostly(not only though). I got the remix version of the new Bring Me The Horizon and some of the techno shit that is on that album is pretty awesome, one act that did a remix was Tek-One, which I have found on myspace, but they pretty much have no downloads or albums. Anyways, I'm just wondering if anyone has some ideas of some bands or acts I would like that would sort of be along the lines of Hadouken, or even that sort of drum and bass sort of stuff!! Thanks dudes!
  3. Textbook Tragedy are rad!!! Can't wait to see them play here! I'm from the same little city outside of Vancity (Langley) and partied with them quite a few times! Super nice guys and they have come a long way since!
  4. Yea dude, I pretty much do the same thing, well, minus the headbanging!
  5. Would a Enter Shikari pit look like guys fighting invisible ninjas with glow sticks? I think throwing down looks cool. I used to think it looked stupid, but I was totally into metal then, I'm a lot more into hardcore now and think it's pretty cool. There are some inventive things out there really. Like those Brazilian dudes that dance and throw kicks and shit. I like some of the names as well....shovelling dirt and floor punching! Fuck I'm stupid why did I even make this thread? Haha. either way, hardcore dancing has my vote!
  6. Think KCHGH and Gabriel Sylar stole the show for me. GS had a big crowd, which might have made a difference and they are a pretty tight band, but yea, could use with loosening on stage, but it was their first show! KCHGH, I've heard of them, but hadn't heard them, but probably cause they have no songs on their myspace. I thought they were pretty wicked, but what got my attention was the bass player. 2 handed taps on a SIX string bass? The neck at the bottom is probably bigger than my hand! But yea dudes, good show! And John, as for some constructive critism, I thought you guys put on a good show, just thought the sound was either too loud, as I couldn't make one song from the other, or you guys tune too low and it sounded muddy, but I know what you guys sound like, and I like it! Oh, and maybe tell your friends to come to shows, as it was only me and D standing there watching you guys, we were the only ones that clapped at the end of a song as well, so bring friends!!!!!! Uncalm......liked the bit about crabcore and that dude smashing the glass. You guys more then excel in the stage banter department!
  7. What's your opinion.... (I say "metal" moshing, cause moshing can go both ways...)
  8. I'm gonna beat you up tonight!!
  9. Hope to see this band get goin soon! Could be interesting! Need more heavy bands!!!
  10. Hmm, can't forget Fear Factory, and yes Spineshank for me as well!! 10 years I also got my Soulfly and Slipknot tattoos. My Soulfly tattoo is now covered up and I plan on lazering my Slipknot tattoo off to make way for more tats from the might Uncle Allan!! Fair enough, I was 16, and I was pretty stoked when Soulfly came out with that song with Corey Taylor, Jumpdafuckup! Haha! I nearly got a Chimaira, Static-X and Korn tattoo as well, so glad I came to senses before I was covered in Nu Metal band tattoos! PHEW!!
  11. I recently put my iTunes on random play the other day, and some System Of A Down came on from their first album and noticed it was from 1999, and thought about what I was listening around that time. So put your pride away and share some of your shame(or not shameful) music from about 10 years ago! Doesn't have to be exactly 10 years like!! Mine are Slipknot Korn Limp Bizkit System Of A Down To name a few!
  12. Common now, they aren't that bad. They could be Limp Bizkit or something! Haha! I think I've come way too late into this thread! So there is my input....
  13. Stuart King of defunct Girl Said No and Steve Curtis!!
  14. New Killswitch Engage Through The Fire-The World At Our Feet Enter Shikari-Common Dreads Lower Than Atlantis-Bretton
  15. If the person who posted this thread would have put an mp3 rather than a link to a music video, I think this discussion would be much different. They are being critisized cause they are wearing polo shirts? I'm sure you don't chill out when listening to music thinking of what the band wears? Unless you listen to Cradle of Filth or Dimmu?....
  16. All I said was the band plays for themselves and for the people that like what they do. There's always going to be criticism with music.
  17. You could say that about any genre of music, if it were hardcore, metal, death metal, emo, rap...whatever. All music just repeats itself cause everything has been done. People forget that music is an art, and a way to let out emotion, whatever it may be. It doesn't have to be techy, incredibly talented. If the music is fun to play isn't that the point? If the band playing is having fun doing what they love, comments like yours don't matter.
  18. I saw Eminem live 10 years at Warped Tour in Vancouver. The crowd threw lemons from the juice stand at him, and one landed right in his face! I wish we had youtube 10 years ago!!
  19. I'll protect you for a can of Coke!
  20. They would probably end up in an Avenged cover band one day!
  21. Some funny shit, though I don't think I could listen to it long!
  22. If I were in this band, I'd have a massive clock hanging from my neck...a gold one!
  23. Bought Metro Station.....guilty pleasure.......and Bury Your Dead "It's Nothing Personal"
