  1. Aye, the Caley fans are always entertaining though, they help make up for lack of talent on the pitch! I cannae believe how much I laughed when someone passed the ball back to Fraser just at the start of the second half and 300 fans shouted in unison "NO!" And the fact that Richie Byrne doesn't play for us is a blessing from God, even I feel sorry for you having to put up with his constant shite!
  2. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one! There's no way I'm going to agree that 'you ripped us to bits'! I thought the first half was probably on balance yours but you certainly didnae merit a 3-0 lead! Second half, I know the game was over but we had most of the play, the 4th goal was naivety from our guys trying to get back into the game. Anyway, good luck against them in the semi-final!
  3. I didn't say we deserved to win, we were slightly better overall. I haven't seen any footage of the two penalties either, so I can't comment on whether or not they were deserved. We created more chances, we were the better attacking force (although Aluko was by far your best player going forward), there was a quite a few good opportunities for us. If Cowie (I think that's who it was) had scored after 2 minutes then things could have been very different.
  4. The atmosphere was like a fucking morgue last night, absolutely awful. I would say that a draw was a fair result, 4-1 is a joke. Aberdeen were terrible, and we were slightly better. "You only sing when you're winning" ...aye, they never started at all. 4 goals and all 6-7,000 fans can do is sit in silence.
  5. I'm pretty certain that Suffo didn't get a contract, I think I remember reading somewhere in the Herald that Levein said that he wouldn't improve the squad and so it wasn't worth it bringing him into the squad.
  6. I had the misfortune to be at Pittodrie today, my wee brother was 'Player of the Day' at some football school thing over the summer, he got two free tickets to this game. Aberdeen were so, so bad. Lovell and Miller have to be one of the poorest striking partnerships for a while at Aberdeen. There's no-one in the midfield who has that killer instinct, no-one who can produce a moment of magic to get a goal out of nothing. Thank god I got in for free!
  7. Aye, don't think I'll be going along with the kilt hire to along with the national stereotype. But cheers for all the information Scorge, that's helped a lot.
  8. Anyone got a rough idea of how much tickets will cost for the Ukraine game? A couple of friends and I are planning to go down to see it, trying to plan out expenses and all that.
  9. I wasn't at the gig, but I have heard a lot about the HHLL singer being a complete tool, they used to be a really tight outfit, but they got this new singer and he smokes a helluva lot of weed before every show apparently.
  10. Yeah, best wishes and all that, have a good one!

    Outnumbered

Anyone see this tonight? It's semi-improvised comedy, about a couple 'outnumbered' by their three kids. The actors who play the kids improvise their lines in order to get a more authentic feel to the show, and on the evidence of the first episode it's a great idea. It has Hugh Dennis from Mock the Week in it, makes for a really light-hearted show!
  12. Anyone selling a delay and/or phaser pedal second hand? PM me, etc.
  13. Hey dude, had a listen to your stuff, I am very impressed! Vision of Nothingness in particular is good, I would love to play with you guys at some point! When are you guys next jamming? If you want me to, I'll come along and play bass if you want me to. David
  14. Hello, I would like to form a band that is influenced by the likes of At the Drive-In, The Fall of Troy, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Glasgow Drive, Mastodon and other such bands. I want to get in touch with people who like to experiment with different sounds, pedals and song structures. Hopefully these four bands should give an idea of the kind of sound I'm looking for. Hardcore/Grind/Jazz/Metal...whatever, people that like experimentalism are fine by me. I play guitar and bass, and am 17 years old. I would be looking for at least two guitarists, someone who can scream, (not just your standard aberdeen scene-core 'raaaaar', someone who has a proper set of lungs, can go from death-metal cookie monster to a higher pitched yell to a 'normal' clean vocal style), and obviously a drummer. Hopefully there will be people out there who are into the same kind of music as I am; PM or reply in this thread. 15. Really gutted I can't make this, hopefully either Magrudergrind or Yacopsae will return soon!
  16. I really like "A Shot at Glory", it's got an urgency about it that really grabs me for some reason. Vocals are great as well.
  17. The guy was in has late 20's, I would say. He has blonde hair and is about 5' 10 ish. I'm not going to say too much as I don't know the whole situation but it was very unfortunate the way things worked out, James really said all that can be said in his post.
  18. Varied bills are nicer, I think! Besides, it's basically 4.1 bands with the length of the Bastard Squad set! www.myspace.com/hijackska www.myspace.com/e106 www.myspace.com/therealcondiments

    Cricket World Cup

What a crap way to end the world cup. Australia won due to bad light, then celebrated waving the stumps about, then the umpires re-started the match. It was so dark that the TV cameras couldn't focus on the pitch. Anyone see the view from the stump camera at the end, how the hell could the Sri Lankans see the ball??! The whole tournament's been a joke, really.
