  1. Amazing, I'll remember to use that next time I haven't got anything else to say...
  2. Hmmm, That's not really fair. Why can't we just post what's going on with us for those people you say are interested and then have a moderator just get rid of the snidey, bitter or pointless posts? What they in effect do is sit back, watch someone say something, watch us say something back and so forth...Then they jump in and go "Oh why can't you guys just get over this blah blah blah!" What they dont do is EVER get to the root cause of the problem being a post or two and delete the not needed ones. If I know that some waste of oxygen's post saying "yeah you guys did this to get this and went here yadda yadda 1200 blah blah piss moan" was going to be deleted as soon as it is seen then I'd sit back happy in the knowledge that only people who gave a toss about the band will comment. The rest would just have sit and tell their mates over MSN what the ywould say if they were allowed. "If I couldve said this on that thread then that would totally pwn them!"
  3. After selling out King Tuts not too long ago our buds in Flood now have a show in Glasgow at the Garage on the 25th or March. We know that alot of you love them out there so get down and see them play their biggest hometown show ever! Official Ticketmaster site. Flood of Red tickets Glasgow Garage Glasgow, Lanarkshire, UK, Directions, seating chart.
  4. Oh come on big guy...you gotta admit it is pretty funny though. Brightens the place up and increases the hit count huh? When people talk about this site they never go "Yes, it was a delightful and informative discussion about the merits of *insert some arty wanky pretentious post post college but before uni rock band here* latest album! It's ALWAYS "woah, it kicked off today!" So don't kid yourself that no-one wants to see what goes on in threads like this and other similar ones. I'd say well over half of the people on this site get off on watching this stuff unfold and who am I to dissapoint...after all, I am an entertainer.
  5. Hmmmm...not really. It's all tough words but the fact remains they don't even look me in the eye when I see them. Also, on the subject of taking bait. You two are just as bad in all fairness. I make a post, go away, come back, and see a whole slew of posts showing I've at least motivated you to do that. Anyway, when's your next show? I quite fancy a good laugh. Does your music get any better if you're drunk?
  6. Aberdeen misses a night like Disco 2000 that used to be at the Palace on a Thursday night. That was kinda like what is being described here but more towards good indie stuff.
  7. Nah, That's bollocks actually. happens on most message boards.
  8. Let Jake think what he wants man. His views are so out of whack that he probably think's Captain Toms is the spawn of Satan for starting Fat Hippy records.
  9. And you would also bitch and moan if you had heard of the label wouldn't you? Saying that we're corporate cock suckers and all the rest of it. The label is a label that has a good name amongst the people who do know it and also from the other bands that have worked with it. We like thier ideas and attitude and they LOVE our band so it's a good match actually. The label has distrobution through Plastichead which is something that excites us greatly. The record will be available on shelves and to order from HMV's and Virgins all over the UK. It will be also available from Amazon, Play.com and lots of various other websites including HMV's site and the Virgin Megastore site. You'll also be able to get the album if you live in Europe and the USA as well. The label is spllitting our costs for recording, paying in full for any advertising and in full for pressing and printing. All this is pretty exciting for us and we don't give a fuck what people think about it. It's more than 99% of bands get offered and we are proud that the label approached us after keeping tabs on us for a little while. This is, again, something we are VERY proud of. The main thing we like about the label is the fact that they would rather focus on a few bands rather than these other smaller label that have heaps of bands that you may have only heard of one or two of and the rest might as well not be on the roster. This is a damn good attitude and we are excited about recording our debut album and having two people like Dan and Justin from Sikth mixing the record and say they are "excited to be working with the band!" Because of all this we are also getting our next UK tour booked by a booking agent as opposed to doing it ourselves. We feel all of the above and other stuff this band has done is all stuff to be proud of. We have managed to do it without changing anything about this bands music or attitude towards people. We dont ass kiss and we don't suck cock...we just work hard at writing, playing and all the rest of it. If you want to be proud of recording shitty quality music onto even shittier CDr's with equally shitty quality packaging, playing to the same 14 people in the same places for the rest of your musical life then go ahead. We have done enough of that and want to move this band on a bit so GET THE FUCK OVER IT! If you console yourself with the thought of "well at least we aren't doing what MMW are doing" then you do that. Isn't the DIY ethos about working hard? Have a think about how much you're actually doing with your ethos when we are leaving tonight at 6 o clock in our transit van to stay in Lancaster after 6 hours of driving to then leave there at 7am to drive to brighton for a show that nite then play Cheletenham the night after and then drive the length of the country home on the Sunday. Meanwhile Jake will be no doubt be in "fortress weep" AGAIN, laughing at the music, ogling at scene girls probably saying how much they need a "real man" all the while you're putting money over the bar helping keep the place open. You're both pathetic and are really showing the rest of this "community" that you don't have any kind of point anymore...you're just bitter, twisted, poisnous little barnacles on society. If you wish to discuss ANY of this in person then you know what I look like, I'd be glad to repeat it all right to your faces. And I REALLY hope you do!
  10. They're no TBS though.
  11. haha...9 actually. A daring jibe by the lad who would complain on tour as "getting too old for this!" whilst holding his back and neck x
  12. Your youth?? You're like 19 tops anyway?!?!?!?!??!
  13. i was merely picking up on the way he said. It's just rather amusing. I'm allowed to express that yeah?
  14. To comment on Underoath in the way you did without hearing their latest groundbreaking album is just pure ignorant. Well, to be fair, this argument is over as you ACTUALLY bought Jamie T...WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ABOUT?
  15. Easy there...you might want to be careful I mean your post is vague on wether you actually like MMW or not. That's just to be safe huh? I mean you can't be seen on here to be acknowledging the fact that we are doing ok for ourselves can you. That would just be very un-Aberdeen-music.com wouldn't it? www.myspace.com/mymindsweapon for all the happenings in our world...and there's a few
  16. Yeah cos He Is Legend sound exactly like all the other bands on that bill huh? Your ears are just untrained as of late. No offence, I'm sure you see my point?
  17. You see with taht attitude you'll always be the close minded hardcore fan that I know you are... Did you bother to listen to the last Underoath record? It was without doubt one of the most fresh, innovative, aggressive, honest and emotional records ever.
  18. hahaha...christ, no that's it. I'm done.
  19. By actually quoting me there and justifying my post you really have further proved you take it all far too seriously. No wonder Johnny Mac threw in the towel.
  20. Blood...I was out for blood. That's cool, I didnt realise it was dealt with. So that's "trolls" 1 the man 0.
