  1. It's meant to be a lot easier now a days with Mountain Lion than it was back in the Leopard days. Check out the website below. If you're building one from scratch its a list of parts that have OS X driver support and should work fine. I "hackintoshed" a Dell Inspiron for lol's back in the day and it took me a while to sus it out and it ran like a bag of shit. http://www.tonymacx86.com/351-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-may-2013.html
  2. Colin (RockAustin) on here is an affa good sax player. Give him a shout. He might have contacts for some other brassos to fill things out too. Working on some reel big fish covers aye?
  3. Found one of the old style ones on eBay and by christ what a difference! Should've done it ages ago.
  4. I've had my OLP Stingray copy for like 10 years and it's not too bad a bass. The bridge is starting to get a wee bit rusty so I'm looking at replacing it with a shiny Musicman type one but can't find one anywhere. Any help or recommendations would be much appreciated. Looking at you neepheid!! :-)
  5. Yeah it makes a pretty big difference in speed. They're expensive and smaller than normal spinning drives but I think it's worth the trade off.
  6. Ah that's not too handy. I just checked out some vids and it looks like a cool wee bit of kit. Monged up noises all over the shop!! Best of luck sorting it out.
  7. Have you tried connecting the inputs and outputs of your interface together, then sending midi out and trying to record it from the input? I'd give that a bash first cause it'll help you see if the interface is working correctly. If you can do that happily enough and your sending midi out to the synth on the right channel I'd be thinking dodgey midi input on the Nanozwerg like you said. Let us know how you get on.
  8. It's no harder than fitting normal 2 wire pickups provided your happy enough with reading a wiring diagram and can solder happily enough. You just have to get the right pots (and have 4 conductor pickups fitted). Here's a couple of links that should help you out. http://www.seymourduncan.com/images/schematics/501005-110.pdf http://www.dimarzio.com/sites/default/files/diagrams/4Conductor.pdf
  9. I put a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge of my SG (and a jazz in the neck) and it made a whoooring difference for the better. Managed to track down pickup covers for them too so they look like stock but sound superb.
  10. Sorry, this guy. https://www.facebook.com/gojira.effects?sk=app_150178545006427&filter=2
  11. I've been messing about with a bass big muff lately and really like it. I find it broadens up the bottom end without getting too flabby and when you piss about up the neck it sounds ace. Every payday I keep meaning to find something to buy (probably an Ampeg Scrambler clone) from this guy. He lives down the Glasgow way and can do custom artwork on your pedal too. Some of his stuff looks pretty cool. https://www.facebook.com/gojira.effects%C2'>
  12. Anyone after Robbie Williams tickets for Hampden on the 26th of June? My Mum's trying to shift a pair. £75 a pop.
  13. I've got a Marshall 1960 BV kicking around at home taking up space. It's in good condition and has "upgraded" ernie ball castors which should last a lot longer than the crappy Marshall ones. It's the same as this one. http://www.gak.co.uk/en/marshall-1960bv-vintage-cabinet/4372 I'd let it go for £275
  14. If thats the guitar I think it is it's a total cracker and well worth £300. I'd buy it myself if it weren't so closes to Xmas.
  15. Title says it all really. I bought a few too many tickets for this gig so have 3 in total going spare. I made the mistake of getting eTickets so I'd have to meet whoever wants them outside the venue and head in together. £25 a pop covers the ticket and booking fees etc. PM if your interested.
  16. I've got for sale my Marshall 1960BV cab. I've had it since new and its well looked after having only been gigged a handful of times. I've popped on Ernie Ball castors, as one of the stock ones came off (due to them being complete shite). These go for £611 new from GAK, so I'd be looking for around £350ish for it. Feel free to make a reasonable offer though, cause at the moment it's just holding up my laptop and taking up a shitload of room in my bedroom. Cheers. Runcie
