  1. The whole riot thing was actually quite scary, we were in the stadium when it all kicked off and missed the start but watched the next 10 mins or so. The guy standing beside me said that the Athletico fans turned up and started chucking flares at the huge group of fans outside this pub (someone else said it was the Athletico casuals pub and this is why it started, all rumours though). It all looked horrible, we saw folk just standing doing nothing getting battered by the riot police and then saw the Atletico fans knock over two huge bottle bins and start lobbing them at the Aberdeen fans. Oh, and we saw a moped that caught fire cos a flare landed beside it. The bloke beside me also said he'd heard the Chelsea casuals had met up with the ASC and were looking for trouble, something that i really can't stand, want to fight? go learn to box and keep it the hell away from football. The first half was still a bit tense with riot police in our section hassling some people but it definitely calmed down by the second half and thankfully didn't spoil a brilliant trip (which would have been better if we'd won )
  2. They are 50. Friend at work called Pittodrie today and thats the price she was quoted (and the official club package cost for the whole trip there was 750!) No word on the Madrid ticket prices though
  3. Found the files, PM your email if you still want them. From what i can remember you run WinUAE, load the kickstart stuff in the ROM bit and go to quick start and load your game? Had a quick try and it seemed to work.
  4. My brother setup that stuff on my PC and i might still have the files, can have a look if you want?
  5. I'm in the States right now and i bought some chocolate to take home. It's now a puddle of melted gloop. It is soo hot it's unbelievable, can't do the conversion but its been above 80 degrees farhenheit every day, today was 97 and driving through Death Valley was 109! (and that was late at night, the day would have been unbearable). I love holidays. (Going to Mesa Verde tomorrow, hope its as good as the other places i've been so far)
  6. I paid attention, i just wasn't very good so i kept quiet Would be interested in doing it again next season
  7. I've seen series 6 (its been "out there" for a while) and my only complaint is about how short it is. The Shield is one of my favourite programs and 10 episodes isn't enough. If you like The Shield theres a program around called the Black Donnellys which is really good and worth seeing. (they made about 12/13 episodes and then the americans cancelled it)
  8. I saw it at Vue and they didn't do a break. There was 30 minutes of adverts and trailers which is too much (they just needed to show the new transformers trailer and i'd have been happy). I thought the film was alright, thought it was too long, and all the fights were a let down. Had the potential to be much better, should have cut out Keira's speeches, have better fights etc...
  9. 28 Days later is 2.99 at Play for today only
  10. I had a look at Jessops/Picturehouse site and it said that prints were 10p (or 9p if you pre-paid for 500). Is the 7p an instore only thing or is the website wrong?
  11. Saw it at the Belmont yesterday too, i really enjoyed it. My only complaint was the fact they ate so much food on screen it made me hungry and the cinema smelt of toast towards the end of the film which made it worse.
  12. Has anyone seen the giant inflatable monkey at the castlegate? You can see it on the cooncil webcam here

    Lost

    Bad news, Jericho got cancelled.

    Lost

Ok, i've just finished this weeks episode and all i can say is ..... huh? What/who on earth is Jacob? Is Locke going to die? Do the Others not age? (That Richard bloke appears to be the same age when young Ben met him, when they killed off the Dharma folk and nowadays.) Right, going to watch Jericho now, hope its as good as the last few eps have been.
  15. I use AVG antivirus which is free and pretty good. And if you want a free firewall try Comodo (i use this one and think its very good) or for an easier to use option Zone Alarm (the free version is alright but can be buggy at times - and cos it's free not a priority to be fixed) I agree with running spybot, and you could run ad-aware too. Sorry, don't have any links at the moment, but you'll find it all via google.
  16. I saw most of that. The bit that made me laugh most was Major Victory in the crying kid challenge. I loved the way he just jumped around the place like a nutter. I hope those contestants weren't being serious.

    Your current read?

Just finished American Gods by Neil Gaiman and the Historian is sitting in my "not read yet" pile of books, is it any good? Think its that or Good Omens next (brother lent me a heap of Gaiman books)
  18. Buster wasn't in it, and the guy from 28 days later is Irish (and i didn't think his accent was that bad) I agree the end was a bit stupid but overall i liked the film. It was a sci-fi film, about space so i'm glad there wasn't more Earth stuff. It doesn't have to be realistic, it was a film to entertainment people not a documentary.
  19. I was there too, don't remember anything like that happening either. Mind you, couldn't even tell you who won....and i didn't actually remember who the game was against either.
  20. JAYE - Cant you keep it to yourself? I thought you and I had an unspoken agreement never to get into each others business uninvited? AARON - I never said that. JAYE - Thats why its unspoken, moron . Wonderfalls.
  21. Argh, i have way too many favourite scenes, but these are the first ones that come to mind Nothing to Lose - The "There's a spider on your head" scene, had me in tears of laughter Way of the Gun - the car chase Airplane - "And Leon's getting larger", love the whole movie especially the bits with Johnny Returner - The opening scene on the boat Infernal Affairs - love the bit where they spell bodyguard (i know it sounds dull but for some reason i love that bit) Kung Fu Hustle - the "knife handles" Oh, and totally agree with the blues brothers (my favourite film), think the scene i would pick would be the SCMODS bit Elwood: Shit. Jake: What? Elwood: Rollers... Jake: No. Elwood: Yeah. Jake: Shit.
  22. I wouldn't put all speed problems down to the exchange stuff. Having finally figured out my problem (my ISP had screwed up and were throttling everyone on my account type to death) and changed account i'm now getting 6MB (peak and off peak) and i'm on the "always red" Denburn exchange, which has actually been red since about September and the fix date gets put back every 2 weeks or so.

    Heroes

I thought this weeks was really good, I was a bit worried that after last weeks it'd be a let down but i think i enjoyed it more. Hiro was great (as usual), Mohinder got to be torture boy and we found out heaps of things. Who didn't watch the end, point at the TV and go "I didn't recognise you without your scar"?

    Heroes

I'm getting a bit bored with flash back episodes in every program (even bored with Lost's) but this was a good episode, quite a lot happened, questions were answered and i can't wait to see where its going (only 6 eps left?)
