  1. Picked it up the other day. So far not impressed by the Solo campaign and the few games I've had of multi-player have seemed muted and unexciting.
  2. Brilliant. Saw them at Moshulu last time and they were amazing. Can't wait for this.
  3. Even assuming there is some policy behind it I would have thought they would have kept it behind the desk or in a store room for you rather than turn you away. A few years back at Vue I was told I couldn't take my backpack in with me but they were more than happy to hold on to it for me, they gave me a ticket (same deal as handing your coat in at a club cloakroom) and after the movie I picked it up with no hassle or extra charge.
  4. He played the first game against Spurs I think but didn't seem to impress. Man City then signed Milner and Mancini went with him and Johnson against Liverpool and they both played blinders. Might be in with a shout again following the loss against the Mackems, I hope so anyway cos he's a cracking player.
  5. No luck for Dundee Utd and Motherwell, brave performances for them and I think they can hold their heads up high. Disappointing from Celtic. Scottish football's co-efficient was already dangerously low enough before these games anyway but it's looking grim for the next few seasons as well. 6. O'Neills has it. I went there to watch the Newcastle game on Sunday but they had the Gaelic Football on instead which was on Premier Sports.
  7. Cracking gig, enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. Was surprised at how young the crowd was, considering Blink haven't released an album since around 2002.
  8. Gamer - Terrible, just terrible. Kick-Ass - I'd never read (or even heard of) the comics before so I got to enjoy this from a 'fresh start'. It's about a regular kid who decides to become a superhero, despite having no super powers, and his subsequent adventures fighting crime and teaming up with other 'superheroes' he meets. Cracking little movie, Nic Cage is brilliant as fellow superhero Big Daddy, well worth a watch.
  9. I'm not sure how some people are going to cope when Sky Sports News leaves freeview in the next few weeks. It's always my first go to channel when I flick on the telly.

The TV License doesn't just cover TV mind. BBC - About the BBC - The licence fee
  11. I'll have to look it up on Youtube to remind myself of it. He didn't drive directly into Prost like Schumy on Hill though.
  12. Senna didn't take out Prost (unlike Schumacher vs Hill in 1994) he just held his racing line IIRC.
  13. Inception - Tough film to watch, it's quite full on and you really need to pay attention. Very enjoyable though, I thought Nolan did a cracking job of sucking you into the story and the universe he creates. I wouldn't say it's as great as some of the reviews are suggesting but it's definitely worth a watch. The Karate Kid (2010) - This was a huge surprise. I entered the cinema expecting to see a remake that would have no chance of living up the the original, how wrong I was. This was a fantastic film, Jayden Smith (as Dre Parker) was an excellent choice as the new Karate Kid and I ended up rooting for him just as much as I was for Daniel when I saw the original movie. Jackie Chan (Mr Han) is excellent as the new mentor and you can see the relationship forming between student and teacher just as in the original. The basic plot of the original remains the same albeit in a different setting (China) and a few small changes along the way. It is a kids film so there are a few bits that are a bit over sentimental however that's to be expected. A real treat to watch and one to definitely check out. I'd go as far as saying it's the most enjoyable movie I've seen this year.
  14. Any news on when the pub is going to be open?

    Weekend

Night out tonight BBQ at a mates on Saturday Cinema on Sunday to see Inception or Predators depending on the level of my hangover (Inception might be too much to take in hungover), home to watch the end of golf and then Xbox, with a pause for Top Gear.
  16. Cheers, I'll have a look back through in more detail. Didn't know about the BBC site so i'll check that out too. Not a huge lover of fish dishes but I'll take a note of it. This sounds within my limits and I think I have everything except the lamb so might give it a go on Sunday. I improvised with baked beans, wasn't the same!
  17. Just started learning to cook and so far so good. So far I've made: Chilli (what a piece of piss that was, although it went a bit tits up when I realised I'd forgot the kidney beans!) Lasange Chicken Curry Pretty basic stuff I know but it's a start, I'm not the most confident in the kitchen. Any suggestions on fairly simple recipes to keep me going?
  18. Boondock Saints - Two brothers become vigilantes after a near deadly brush with organised crime in Boston. Quite enjoyed this movie even though Billy Connolly is in it for a short while, which is actually a good marker of how well the movie stood up that that he didn't manage to ruin it. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - A bit bizarre this one, it's a send up of the film-noir genre. Basically a guy is mistaken for an actor and comes to LA but gets mixed up in a murder investigation. Downey Jr is in top form and Val Kilmer seems to have a lot of fun playing his character. A Scanner Darkly - Movie version of the book. Really great film to look at, the style is like nothing I've ever seen before (the film was shot as usual and then handed over to rotoscope animators who animated over the top of the film). I've never read the book so I found the story a bit confusing at times however it was still an enjoyable watch. All are definitely worth a watch.
  19. Will probably pick up Red Dead when it comes down towards the 25-30 mark. I've just loaned the new Splinter Cell from my bro and picked up a copy of Hitman Blood Money cheap so I've got them to keep me occupied for just now. I'd add Batman Arkham Asylum and Dead Space to Teabags list, plus you can pick them both up online for around the 15 mark. Dead Space in particular is terrifying.
  20. That's brightened up my Monday morning! Brilliant.
  21. Christ I forgot all about this. Hope they've sorted it out after last year, I think they underestimated the turn out and didn't buy in enough kegs. I went down on the Friday night and they'd already started running out of ales. I think the Ciders were finished that night.
