  1. I am 5% Emo. That'll do me Okay... so you're not emo at all.. you're probably not even goth, because goths are just messed up emo kids... you're probably a metal head... or into boy bands...
  2. You can't replace Whitley, but i'd go with Merton. I don't think Des would be very funny, but then he is the housewife's choice.
  3. You can get some good deals if your willing to move a bit further from the centre of town. I got a nice 2 bedroom flat on GNR at top of st machar drive for 30k a few years ago. Close to aberdeen uni and 25 min walk to town (or bus every 10 mins if your a lazy bastard). Value probably hasn't increased much, but mortgage is cheaper than renting.
  4. Full time or part time? A lot of the high street shops will be looking for Christmas temps to start around September/October. If you're any good they might even keep you on permanently. Just go in and ask at as many places as you can.
  5. Last time they played the Lemon Tree I guess, found it on their website www.electriceelshock.com
  6. Rock, Paper, Saddam! After a quick search I found this has been posted before, but it was more than a year ago. It deserves a repost. So there!
  7. Chinese takeaway from Chopsticks on Great Northern Road. Expensive comfort food, but I'd probably end up eating a fiver worth of crisps and chocolate anyway.
  8. 'tis an awsome but brutal film. I've not watched it for ages, but considered buying it on dvd. You can get both versions in a cool metal box. The scene with the ball in the sock is so disturbingly brutal.

  10. Vodka Victor spent the best part of his career at Albion Rovers I think.
  11. I've just been looking at the list of things you can't post my Royal Mail: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=400044&mediaId=400255 About halfway down the first list it says 'Filth'. How do they define that? You can't post a letter that's got a bit of muck on it? or you can't post some potting compost? Porn? Poo? Just seemed like a bit of a weird one next to all the strict Civil Aviation Authority definitions.
  12. I'd visit all the family and friends I wanted to see... ..Then order a hotel room, a selection of high-class hookers and a mountain of cocaine.
  13. I don't think everyone has to be silent through a gig, but I certainly don't think people should be stood mid-crowd discussing their weekend plans or last night's football matches. It's out of respect for the paying audience, not the artist. The thing that really gets me is at bigger gigs (Music hall, AECC, and esp. T in the Park) people clapping along to EVERY FUCKING SONG. Now, I enjoy a good clap-a-long, it's great when it's done at the right moments. But I actually want to hear the band at some point without everyone adding their own unfathomable time signature. I've only really seen it with bands who have probably been on Top of the Pops, where the majority of the audience are not regular gig-goers and their musical taste doesn't extend beyond Radio 1's daytime playlist (That sounds really snobby ) but it still irritates me. Anyone else noticed this?
  14. Ep. 3 is out on October 31st, 2dvd set just like Episode 1 & 2. Episode 1/2/3 box set probably out early next year, and a 1/2/3/4/5/6 set sometime before xmas 2006. Most sets of 5 or more movies are called 'collection' or 'box set' ( Rocky is an 'anthology' though). I have heard 'saga' mentioned in relation to Star Wars. Not that it really matters.
  15. A couple of years ago there was a dominatrix (sp?) using the basement of her house in Newmill to entertain paying clients . Outrage in the Banffie. I think she was forced out by the council because she hadn't informed them the house was being used as a business premises. Only referance to it I can find online is in the Highland League doric roundup from oct 2002: http://www.highlandleague.net/doric.cfm?regionalID=32
  16. Newmillers already know what to expect and they can't read anyway
