  1. "First of all, Hot Water Music is not breaking up. For better or worse, its pretty damn doubtful that we ever will end the band. We will, however, be taking an extended break due to the fact that Chuck has decided to concentrate on life off of the road for an as-of-yet undetermined amount of time. Although it would admittedly be more exciting if there had been some massive backstage blowout between the four of us over who drank the last Corona, there was no such incident, so we gotta go with the boring old excuse of family. If youll remember from physics that for each action there is an equal and opposite reaction, then you should read on As for Chris, George, and myself, we just cant get enough of driving across Texas on I-10 so were going to keep fighting the good fight. New songs, new name, new band. And man, are we fucking stoked about it! Weve already written almost an entire albums worth of material and were not slowing down at all. Around the 14th of this month, the three of us will be heading up to Salad Days and getting into the thick of things with Brian McTernan in the hopes of birthing some extremely ass-kicking demos. As far as band name, label, release dates, if anyone else is gonna be in this thing--your guess is as good as ours (dont take this as an open letter to send us all your ass-up ideas for band names; send good ones only, please). Were hoping to start playing some shows around Gville in the next 4 to 6 weeks, and of course well give you more info as things start getting off the ground a bit more. Well also be launching independent web, myspace, and purevolume sites for the new band as soon as possible like when we have a name, maybe. Okay, back to HWM news. Were doing another singles collection on No Idea. We cant believe we have enough stuff for one either, but it looks like we do. Were shooting for a fall release on that puppy. No, it wont take as long as the Rumbleseat record has. Seriously, it wont. Well, thats it for now, and that was a lot. Wollard, George, and myself are really looking forward to bringing the new rock to everyone just as soon as we possibly can and we hope that youll all be at the shows. Theyre going to be sick. Peace, enjoy the spring weather, and we hope to see you soon, Black"
  2. That's excellent news. Congratulations Rach!
  3. Go and see SMACKDOWN instead.
  4. Can't believe I fuckin missed these. My Dad is Iranian and I get so little chance to actually experience any of the country's culture. I'll have to track em down on DVD.
  5. Exactly. What a load of bollocks - more wuss-rock when they could've made a heavy as fuck second album to blow everyone away. I'd say I was disappointed but I'm totally unsurprised.
  6. I got Bane too. Cool, the new album is, by all accounts, amazing.
  7. Oh dear! Freya are fucking appalling. I'd be interested to hear it but any band taking their name from a Coen Brothers movie will immediately be met with cynicism from me.
  8. Marshall would be perfect but as long as it works and it's fairly cheap it'd do. PM or leave a message. Ta.
  9. Not just financially, if you play your cards right
  10. Yeah, that used to happen to me too. Now I use a better computer.
  11. The shit-holes are the best! Although, I must say I'm really looking forward to the show at the 1 in 12. Heard lots of good things about that place...

  13. So I've heard! Looking forward to it.
  14. Haha, yeah I heard about that. Atomgevitter were on fire on Tuesday night - Roddy was showing off his manky brown y-fronts and everything... We played The Fenton last month and we - and the crowd - was a bit shit, but hopefully it'll be better this time around.
  15. Looking for a band to fill a slot on the Inverness show if anyone's interested?
  16. We're playing on Saturday. If we bring along a minidisc can we get a recording from the desk? For free? Please?
