Fucking right it is, I'm being paid more than most office junior jobs or what not, so I decided it was a good choice, for the short term. I don't intend on making a career of working there full time.

Work in the mighty Asda until February, then hopefully HNC Sound Production at Aberdeen College. After that, not so sure, may well go and do the whole uni thing.

Right: I have a melody here, which uses the notes A, G#, F#, C# and D, and I'm having trouble working out which chords to put behind this. It sounds quite minor, and from what I gather, it could fit into the key of D, with a flattened 5th, but I know this isn't the one I'm looking for. Can anyone help, even if only suggesting a key? I'm finishing on quite a heavily altered scale aswell that I'm not too sure about - it goes: B, A, G#, F#, F, D, C#, B. The answers are probably staring me in the face, but logic isn't really my strongpoint. Thanks.

I "acquired" this album today, on the first listen, it fucking rocks! But knowing Opeth, it'll probably grow on me as I listen more, so maybe it'll look like a masterpiece in a few weeks.

Mmmhn, I just had a thought. If you went on the Megabus, you would have to pay for accomodation for that night too, yes? In that case, it may actually work out cheaper to do a private bus. Maybe even like, a minibus or something- my lot, Demon Of The Fall's lot and Haigyman's lot could probably fill that alone, plus anyone else willing.

Maybe we could all just take over a Megabus and treat it as our private Opeth bus then........

I don't have any experience of this kind of stuff, but it sounds worthwhile, and I'd happily have a go at doing something to help if I'm able to, for example, maybe doing a couple of gig reviews or something.

I'm not too sure how keen I am on them, but we seen them at Donington this year, and their live set was fucking impressive, definitely got the crowd going. Have to confess I quite enjoyed it, but the irritation would probably set in after a few listens of them on CD.
