  1. Learn dreamweaver and you can build a basic web site.you don't need much experience.just a good set of notes or book to do it.
  2. When Murray from the x-certs was doin an acoustic set and he started playing year 3000 by busted and the whole place was singing even though to start with no one individual would sing themselves for fear of embaressment.
  3. I hope it isn't JEW on the 18th.I'm going to see them in march at the barras so hopefully see someone different. As much as I like Simple Plan, they really can't live up to this giant weekend and I've seen them already to and aren't the greatest live.
  4. The Cathouse It's never really been full of kids when I've went. The dj's are ok. Upstairs play a variety of tunes in the punk/hardcore/metal genres with such bands as Lostprophets, NFG, Avenged Sevenfold and Korn to name a few.Whenever I've been there they usually play 2 or 3 new songs such as Personal Jesus last time I was there when that was out at the time. Downstairs is all classic tunes and there is usually a fair few over 30s in this floor.A few bands songs I've heard whilst being there are Ramones, Bon Jovi, Black Sabbath and Meat Loaf. So basically, upstairs is like Moshulu on a friday night and downstairs is like Moshulu on a saturday night. They don't play much requests from what I've noticed.

  15. This is one of the craziest threads I have ever read on this board and if everyone had cared to pay attention they'd realise that it doesn't matter if you've heard of a band or not.He was makin the point of name dropping bands as for you to go do your own research if you have not heard of them. Stormhart has been absent minded enough to keep name-dropping this Vince guy instead of getting a general opinion from everyone on the board by putting up a poll or going out into the street to get a general feel for interest for this mini bloodstock festival. He got off on the wrong foot by slagging the local scene which would never go down well where ever you're from. To actually get something from this thread I would recommend that people go find out a bit more about these bands that have been mentioned - you never know you might actually like what you hear- and to Stormhart I would say to find out more about the Aberdeen scene for power metal and other similar type genres before making conclusions in a second. You never know a mini-bloodstock might be appealing to a lot of people and be a success cos if you notice only a handful of people have actually posted in this thread and that would tell me that it's not the opinion of everyone that they wouldn't want this festival. Rant over. PHEW!
  16. Woopee!!! Some stupid poll has made them top.So what does that prove considering it's missed out T in the Park, Leeds/Reading, Rock AM Ring the one in Denmark I can't remember, Donington and loads others I can't remember. Polls are published all the time and only concern the people who made them and participated cos they are bias towards what they want to support.
  17. not gettin on the cover of any girls magazine any time soon me thinks
  18. That sounds like an ace idea and would be very interested if i didn't live so far from you guys
  19. If you take about 5 different id's includin birth certificate they almost just let u in cos they can't be assed with the hassle and know you've went to a lot of trouble to porve ur age.on the other hand if they're a bunch o cocks they'll just refuse u anyways
  20. This is just one whole bitchy thread. I agree with what cloud has said completely. I think you have to make your name around here not just have one and expect it to be widely excepted. You can't go around sayin that there has to be a scene before I'll get so and so to put on a gig cos only 10 peple will turn up otherwise. You put in the time and money and effort and generally your efforts will be rewarded unless you're terribly unlucky.
  21. This is an actual job application a 17 year old boy submitted at a McDonald's fast-food establishment in Florida...and they hired him because he was so honest and funny! NAME: Greg Bulmash SEX: Not yet. Still waiting for the right person. DESIRED POSITION: Company's President or Vice President. But seriously, whatever's available. If I was in a position to be picky, I wouldn't be applying here in the first place. DESIRED SALARY: $185,000 a year plus stock options and a Michael Ovitz style severance package. If that's not possible, make an offer and we can haggle. EDUCATION: Yes. LAST POSITION HELD: Target for middle management hostility. SALARY: Less than I'm worth. MOST NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT: My incredible collection of stolen pens and post-it notes. REASON FOR LEAVING: It sucked. HOURS AVAILABLE TO WORK: Any. MAY WE CONTACT YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER?: If I had one, would I be here? DO YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD PROHIBIT YOU FROM LIFTING UP TO 50 LBS?: Of what? DO YOU HAVE A CAR?: I think the more appropriate question here would be "Do you have a car that runs?" HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITION?: I may already be a winner of the Publishers Clearing house Sweepstakes. DO YOU SMOKE?: On the job no, on my breaks yes. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE DOING IN FIVE YEARS?: Living in the Bahamas with a fabulously wealthy dumb sexy blonde super model who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread.
