  1. What equipment do you have for the open Mic? would people need to bring there own amps etc?
  2. Yes it is fixed, I will have it in the morning,
  3. Well the Marshall is back, I picking it up tomorrow, soon to be 3 amps to play with
  4. Yes the speaker cables are run to the desk, Using Thick high quality PA speaker cable. there is no loss with this cable.
  5. Thats fine 2 Powerballs would be good, Flash Ment if you just swap our amp for the same thing, if you need another of the same thats different
  6. I forgot to add!! Please dont change out a good ALL VALVE amp for a Transistor amp, Just give one of ours a try, They all work very well and you will get the sound you want..
  7. We dont mind changing Head's, but cabs we are a little tight on space and also change over time, So we do like to use our Bass rig (Ampeg SVT2 Pro) and our Marshall 4x12's If you have your own Guitar head you wish to use Please do Mark,
  8. What do you want it to be like? I might be able to help,
  9. Members of Antiproduct playing at tonights open mic They will be playing a selection of Ramones songs, Hope to see lots of you there.
  10. Well for Muse, a Rode Classic through a Amek 9098 pre into a EL8 Distressor set to 4:1 with a little drive, was used for most of the tracks, I recall being told radiohead used a valve U47 and blackface 1176 into a Neve desk,
  11. I hope we see you again on sunday, Cant beat a stage practice
  12. Sansamp's would be In my collection. I like the sound of them (not fizzy) the cab simulator isnt bad either. But you still cant beat real valves.
  13. Valve power is much more than MOSFET's dont go by power rating between them, the SVT2 is the best.
  14. We do try and provide all the bits needed, Nothing worse than having a gig but the drummer has no sticks, or no spare guitar strings, This is all added cost (for us) but it is worth while if the gigs go smoothly, We are looking into an acoustic guitar pickup and preamp at the moment, so any of you who have an acoustic without a pickup we can plug you in, and the preamp will be good for any acoustic instrument with a pickup, Also it will be something we know works and it will be setup ready to use, eliminating situations where they dont work or the battery is dead.

    New DJ Decks

For the DJ's who use MP3's you can now just burn them onto a disc in MP3 format, then the deck lets you access them through its menu, so is it around 1000 tracks on one disc? still, It is much better to use the real CD's they sound much better
  18. Generally placing the Mic centre cone up to the cloth will give you the most neutral sound, moving the mic to the edge it starts to lose weight from the sound. But as in all sound engineering there are no rules. So if the sound is working for you that’s all that counts. Play about see what you get, just remember if you have more than one mic Phase will become more important.
  19. Very close, but there is a little more to make sure of first, The 45 will be at the cloth the centre needs to be moved until it phases out the 45, so 45 in phase centre out of phase, move the centre out away from the cloth until you have a good cancellation (wont be total) switch it back into phase and see what you get, then adjust to taste and leave to cool, Let me know how you get on, Keilan: Back of the class, Pods really are not good so thin and fizzy, if you have valve use it (they do have a place but not often IMOP)
  20. If you have 2 57`s I could show you a little trick, Cant really explain but I can show
  21. What cab will you be using? Put the mic dead centre of the cone up to the cloth (or where it would be) then adjust the amp to get the sound by listening through the mic.
  22. And that would also be fine, Heads are easy to change cabs not so easy (on our stage) I would like to hear it sometime.
  23. Bring you heads that isnt a problem (only when it is a 50 P O C) or when they just plug a rack of pedals in front of it where the head is doing nothing to the sound, but thats their choice. As for the Bass Cab, There is None better than an Ampeg, There are enough Pro users to back this up, and Fact any bigger than a 10" driver will sound poor through a mic with bass.
  24. Thanks Danny, We look forward to when you next play. We all had a good weekend.
  25. Anyone wanting to try the Powerball, Get down to the Moorings on a sunday arount 8pm for the open mic night, you will be free to have a play with one. as for me I have tried many different amps and the Powerball has to be up with the top few, great amp..
