  1. I saw them for the first time in ages last night, and I have to say they have changed so much since the days of Methlick (I'm not sure if that's the right spelling), when I didn't really think they were that good. Anyway, I was completely blown away and bought they're CD last night. The CD kicks ass and they're now probably my favourite Aberdeen band. I didn't have a favourite Aberdeen band before last night, just bands that I though were good-ish and I went along to support, so that's saying something!
  2. Septembre-Change Your Colours The Killers-Mr Brightside InMe-Faster the Chase The Bronx-White Tar AFI-Cruise Control
  3. I heard there were issues with Virgin Records, that they'd been messed around so the frontman quit and went on to form Septembre. But I just found that out today, weirdly, read it in a magazine a few hours after I started this thread. Cant Smile was ace though, and it's a shame they split up.
  4. Vex Red? I was listening to an album of theirs the other day and I started wondering where they went. Does anyone have any idea if they're still together or anything? They seemed to make it big, then disappeared, it was weird.
  5. i'm going, no idea about transport though. I know people with cars and I don't think they're full up yet. Failing that, train, I got the train to Donnington last year for the download festival and I think it was about 45 return, so hopefully won't be too much more for Leeds.
  6. They are my favourite band ever. I cried when they split...I never even got to see them live I love lechuza so much, their better album I think. They should have released another album before they split.
  7. Yeh, but where do you get Dillinger 4 stuff anyway, not in 1 up! I was looking in there the other day and I didn't find one Dillinger 4 CD. Anyone else know where to look?
  8. Actually, that's not really it-there's a longer explanation. I came up with Broken Glass when we were first talking about the band actually becoming a band, cus I saw a sign on a bus that said something about no broken glass...I dunno t'was ages ago. But we thought that sounded kinda hardcore screamy, so we scrapped that idea. Then, weeks later, Lucy just randomly said Pink Sunshine. Which was cool, but a little indie I think. So we told someone else and they came up with the idea of putting them together. So we had Pink Glass, which was a little weird. And finally came to Broken Sunshine. That's the whole, really long explanation.
  9. fine...I give up. But, sounding like them doesn't mean I like them...quite the opposite...I fucking hate them. ARG!! By the way, that was really mean crocker!
  10. noooooooooooo. I know, we're poppy...but Tuuli are like...I dunno, really extra poppy and annoying...they have annoying voices.
  11. Sticks and Stones was ok, they're album before that was better. They've been away too long though.Sticks and Stones was more mellow too.
  12. What?? NOOOO, not tuuli, scott tell me you're lying!! I can't fucking stand them, I'd rather not be in a band at all, than be compared to them...ahh! OK, we may sound a little like them, but they're very very poppy and I don't think we're THAT poppy...we are but not to the extent they are....am I making sense?!
  13. I think it went well last night. I had a good time and I saw a lot of other people who seemed to be enjoying themselves...isn't that all that matters?
  14. I was at the Distillers in Glasgow on Friday and I agree...the Icarus Line do suck, even though I've only heard one of their songs. And i thought they were absolutly rubbish live. As for the Distillers...they put on a great show, even if I don't agree with what the first and last songs were. And Josh Homme's side band thing were rubbish, but as a drummer he's not too bad...I didn't expect him to be that good.
