nah, his lyrics are usually fairly spontaneous that song is particularly RHCP sounding which is shitty!! but by no means are many of our others, just the older ones.... thanks tho, gona check back through these pages write sum more reviews

Soup - Definately a Nick Drake influence coming through which scores a thumbs up in my book. however it actually goes almost, sonic youth at one point (the part where it speeds up and the percussion comes in, 2.00 mins) which is also cool. I like the little acoustic lick in this part - dah de deh duh ding, sounds somehtin like that. All round good quality / consistency, good voice cool sounding lyrics 'saw the can soup float into his right?'. A good listen and will def download some more. Duno about the distortion at the end tho... kills the vibe a bit but I guess also adds another dimension to it, creates an ending. What made you want me to review that song exactly?

Hmmmmm i duno, the hendrix cover captured nothing of the original vibe of the song. Too precise i thought, not really the right kind of emotion. Vai is by far the best, everything about his performance. How can you argue with For the love of god?!?! stick SRV up ur ass!! that song sucks! manhattan is excellent tho at the end of the day a performer should perform.... every one of vai's 'co musicians' performs / looks like theyre enjoying themselves. I was showing my brother the dvd one day and i rewinded a part of satrianis, certain parts are really funny in backwards motion sped up - the egg!! hehe

i have really heavy guage strings on one of my guitars and yes it is harder to tap on, I would say a lighter guage is easier, however i find 9s are too light / slippy almost

yeh, you have your catchy riff / hooky singing then you take the song forward with an impressive but not over indulgent solo - check almost any van halen song

Muse is different as in the guitarsit has an original approach guitar - their music is tedious as hell tho. I dont think I'm into the whole modern prog scene. I have a dream theatre and an opeth album but I never listen to them, just find it kinda boring - especially dream theatre. Had some good opeth back in the napster days but generally ten minute songs with predictable growling parts puts me off. As far as Mars Volta go - ehh??? I saw them live and it was pretty damn uninspiring to me. As i say, just an opinion...

Yeh Ive got the dvd, eric johnsons songs are really good, but how can he be such a shit performer. Hes so uncool!! Mummys boy clothes and overwashed hair lol Satch is ok - bit boring and kegs that say 'who looks at trousers anyway *geeky chuckle*' Vai is the only one worth paying to go and see, may aswell listen to eric johnsons cd! At the end though I think satrians solos are the best on the collarabation songs, Eric has a beautiful pair of headphones, and they all pretty much murder the hendrix cover.
