  1. any local support??!!! i would so so so love to go to that, maybe ill come home for that, man it will be soooooo awesome!
  2. i think it depends which block youre in. we were in block j which is right opposite the stage, second row from the back and had an awesome view!!!! the arena is a kinda oval shaped, and the stage is on one of the longer sides of the oval....so if youre in seating on the opposite longer side, youre not too far from the stage so it was pretty cool....i dunno what the view was like from either of the shorter ends.....gumpy was in block c, he would know
  3. oh man!!! you lot are in for such a treat on monday....the 44s were sounding SHIT HOT! last night. new guitarist is awesome, i love this band so much!!! you kids are gonna go crazy at the capdown gig also, everybody, check out bad dancer...they too were utterly awesome last night, the singer's voice is just amazing, so so powerful!! venue owners/gig booking type people...go...listen.. www.baddancer.co.uk...theyve never played aberdeen but would be well up for it, and theyre fucking ace in my opinion!! and no im not in the slightest bit biased by the fact that the guitarist is easily the best looking guy on the planet :O
  4. anyway.....back to the point.. i really want this cd, someone can buy me it for christmas if they want?! heard snippets on telly and sounds ace!! yes hybrid theory is an ace album
  5. starts at half eight and its free not sure about stage times
  6. i had a crackin night.....!!! blink were hundreds better than braehead, we had an AWESOME view from block J!!! even if i did have to sit next to the satsuma!!! we danced!! the four year old boy next to us danced! the satsuma didnt dance!! the banter, the crowd, the venue, the set list, everything about this gig was better than february! and it was nice to see those of you that i did see again!!! oh and by the way, im not ashamed to admit that i didnt know the words to any of the older songs, because i didnt start listening to blink until enema of the state, and the majority of people there wont have either, i dunno why you lot think its such a crime, all bands have die hard fans and those who take a laterinterest, it doesnt mean youre better than us, just means you like the band a helluva lot more
  7. solid rock cafe west is at the corner of church street and dumbarton road....opposite the clinic (formerly the exchequer) which is a big yellow scream pub!!....its down the road from the western infirmary
  8. apparently its all change at the solid rock...new management?? or name change?? or.....im not really sure....um.....dum di dum *strolls off*
  9. i am SO there on friday at solid rock....bad dancer guitarist = yummiest individual in the universe... also havent seen the 44s for yonkees, yay!
  10. i just got that email, and re-read that on altnation as well..... im excited!!!! oh maxi just think how they brought me into your world.....i bet youre thankful eh?!
  11. yeah its been smoking for a few days now.... i can say in all honesty that the shack is one of the most horrendous places in glasgow...the words cattle market dont even touch on the truth of that place!! hopefully though this means more people will be coming to chart attack at the QMU on wednesdays now!!! *plug plug plug*.....talking of chart attack.....Colin Murray makes another return to the marvellous QMU next Saturday (4th Dec).....you know you cant resist...!!
  12. argh i dont know who to vote for.....im so rubbish at this....i already voted for 10ew once, and im inclined to do it again....but then contra...argh, im so rubbish at making god damn decisions!!!! cant they all win??
  13. hhhmmm now im all confused. i voted twice for moshulu cos i reckon its the place i spent most of my time gig-going over the summer and ross does work uber uber hard and generally always puts on a cracking show....but then i thought i might wanna change my mind to dr drakes, cos i've been going there since way back when i was fourteen, when it was the old drakes at castelgate, when dave frickin rock and roll dixon worked there...its an awesome cosy ace little venue and i LOVE it, but then i thought....i quite like the piratey randomness of the moorings, and their cherry beer....mmm.....but then....kef was the first venue i went to when i started taking an interest in local music again.....and its all swanky and nice and has a bouncy floor.....oh, dear me....well i guess it doesnt matter now as moshulu have my vote, but you know, just so the rest of you dont feel left out....women are forever changing their minds....
  14. yeah! how was it???? im totally keen to know
  15. hhmm, ok maybe i didnt explain what i meant very well. im not saying that theyre a bad band, or that they lack talent, i just think perhaps what makes their shows so worth seeing is the total showmanship of it, rather than them just being a totally awesome band....like, i have been to other gigs where bands have just got up onstage, played their tunes and gone off, and i was far more impressed with their musical ability than i was seeing the darkness prance about in several different outfits, with big flashing lights and fancy pyrotechnics, i just think their gigs are probably a bit more theatrical and more like a show than a gig....if that makes any sense.. ?(
  16. oh what!!!!!!! they were playing aberdeen???? we were thinking of trying to book them for the christmas 12 hour bash at the QMU....that would have been amazing!!! they crack me up! what other songs did they cover?
  17. i saw them at leeds and yeah ill agree theyre stage show is pretty impressive but fireworks and flames and flashy lights shouldnt be able to make up for a lack of talent!! i mean theyre not bad, but just because theyre good showmen doesnt mean theyre good musicians. unfortunately i just think theyve been a bit overplayed, kinda bore me now....but hey lets hope they pull something amazing out the bag and shock us all. a great act to see live for sure
  18. dont get me wrong...im not dissing the tune...hell i love it!!!....and yeah the video IS awesome, im particularly fond of the HUGE tumbleweed!!!
  19. i made a hasty decision and now feel that in retrospect i have made a poor choice.....help!!! can i please vote again??
  20. shame to be missing this, have an awesome time those who go!!!!
  21. i bloody love green day and i bloody love this song but it would easily be an avril lavigne track! musically it follows the same format as all her songs typically do just an observation...
