im very sad to hear this!! i loved drakes back when it was at the castlegate, with the weird awesome art on the walls..... and i loved drakes on shiprow, it was like a different period of my life spent in there.... awesome venue, awesome people! sorry to say bye bye (and all this within a week of busted splitting up....i dont think i can cope with such losses!)

I've been listening to MMw since about April '04 I guess and I think they've changed a hell of a lot since even then. They're moving in directions that they want to and so if you don't like where they're going don't listen to them anymore, it's as simple as that. The new tracks are so epic and include SO many different sounds that you can't fail to be impressed in some way at least. Although a lot of people seem to think the vocals are poor, Ben's voice has become a LOT stronger on these new tracks, in a very different way. This is the sound they wanted to create, like it or lump it. Personally I think the two tracks on the web just now are awesome, the Ben/Dan vocal dymnamic works very well in all songs I think, especially Play Dead. I really can't wait to hear the cd, 959 Goodbyes is an awesome song I can't wait to hear how it sounds recorded. The new songs are definitely a lot more musical than vocal and although Ben's voice is sounding a lot stronger, I think this band's strength definitely lies in their musical ability. From about 3.30 minutes through Play Dead the music has a very Labyrinth-esque 80s David Bowie type sound to it which I for one absolutely love!! I am really looking forward to seeing Weapon live again soon. It's good to see people taking a positive interest in the band. Usual people giving their usual comments is to be expected.....

have just finished watching season two dvd box set.....we're actually obsessed!! my flatmates and i have spent the past week doing very little other than watching 24!!! if anyone wants to lend us the season three box set we would be most most grateful!!!! and probably pay you in kindness!!! jack bauer is actually my hero!!!! we heart 24!!!

who cares if they preach their religious beliefs at the show...loads of bands rant shit about their opinions and the like at shows and people just accept it....just cos religion comes into play here why should it be any different. theyre a great band so go for the music and if they do try preaching stuff that you dont agree with just ignore it! geeso, everything has to be so damn complicated these days! lets face it, the line up is awesome, the gig will be ace, im gonna catch this line up the following night in glasgow and i cant wait!!

hhhmm i was about to say the opposite in fact first few times i saw them i didnt think she was too bad but last time i saw them play she just sounded a bit awful!! but having said that....it could have just been an off night and i dont really know so much about drumming but i think its fair to say that making a generlisation like "all girls are rubbish drummers" is complete and utter shit.....i hate generalisations!

oh my god!!! at the gig, can black atom ALL have their heads shaved, onstage!! but like, only if a certain amount of cash is raised through buckets being passed round and stuff!!!! it would certainly be a great incentive to cough up!!!! mind you....im doubting theyre gonna agree to this....but....ITS FOR CHARITY!!!!!!!!!!!!

i really wish i could be there to get more involved at a higher level but if you guys keep us all posted with whats going on i'd be more than happy to help at a later stage if in any way i could and i'll definitely be at the gig!!!!

i am proud to announce that on having witnessed for the frst time a rather wonderful set by onion terror last night, you now rank fairly fuckin high on aileen's list of ace bands that she loves and wants to see a lot of the time cos they are really nice and stuff.....hoorah!!!!!!! a wee snippet of the rasmus brought back loving memories of leeds......brought a tear to my eye..... cheers

im holding out a hope that they will show the morcambe and wise christmas special at some point over the festive period, its pretty much one of my favourite things about christmas!! i miss them dearly, comedy legends!!!!!!!!

it got flooded apparently!!! nightmare! and its true, hazlehead never ever gets closed. the only time i recall it being closed in the whole six years i attended was when it was so snowy that all the country bumkins couldnt get in to school and a bunch of other people just didnt bother, there were only about a hundred people in attendance so they just decided there was no point and sent us home. it was ace. i went sledging!! weeeeeeeee
