yeah but you can tell roddy much prefers singing the newer stuff, his vocals even on the older tracks are totally different, a lot less aggressive and more mellow at every opportunity really

saw idlewild at the barrowlands last night and it was FU-CKING A-MA-ZING!!!!!! best ive ever seen them play! shame you guys didnt get the ramones cover in the encore, it sounded quality! i never would have thought that that would work but the vocals were awesome and it sounded ace, just a quality quality song with an idlewild-y twist! roddy's changed a lot as a front man, i remember when we saw them at the lemon tree and he was really unresponsive and just looked like he was off his face on drugs! hes developed so much and really makes the audience feel part of what is going on. the direction theyre taking the music now is certainly very very different to the old stuff, but they still got their charm. really really renewed my love for idlewild, one of my best gigs this year!

....guapo? theyre fucking AMAZING! i went to see them last week in glasgow, knowing absolutely NOTHING about them, the type of music they played, what they looked like, their influences, or like....anything. and they just blew me away. its like the type of music id wanna be floating in space listening to. totally trippy and weird and spaced out and just unique and crazy and original as shit! i dont have their album so dunno how it compares to live performance but if you get the chance and are into weird eclectic music, go see them!!!! but take a seat of some kind....or dance about like the crazy lady at the barfly, cos standing still watching them really hurts....and you kinda start rocking back and forth like a madman...but in a good way!

gwen stefani is probably the hottest being walking this planet!!!!!!! her songs have a habit of growing on me cos i can kinda nod along and they have catchy beats and stuff.....but they aint amazing or anything. i'd definitely give her one though!
