First support band were called Sons And Daughters and were kinda ok, but seemed to only play about three different chords and sing a melody over the top - but the vox volume wasnt high enough so generally just sounded like three chords over and over and over and over.....you get the picture. Second support band (the worst in the history of the world) were called Fiery Furnaces.......AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Unless you enjoy inflicting pain on yourself!

I take it back....I take it ALL back....Franz Ferdinand were ON FIRE last night at the QMU!! They totally fucking rocked the boat!!! Was just a matter of the album growing on me, still a couple of songs I'm not so keen on, but on the whole they were outstanding! Shame one of their support acts was the WORST BAND IN THE WORLD!!................EVER!!!!!! It was literally like musical murder, I felt like crying by the end of their set.........or slitting my wrists! Nightmare

I agree to some degree with what you guys are saying but to be perfectly honest it pisses me off no end when people have to be so damn political about music. I appreciate that it is an arse that quality bands have to take a backseat cos of mass produced pop kiddies but to be honest it doesnt mean that these bands are any less liked - they have their fan base and I'm pretty sure - if they're the "real" musicians that you're referring to - that's all that's gonna matter to them! Also, the McFly song is cool, they should be in Happy Days or something. In my opinion, if you like a song, you like it - who gives a shit how/when/where or by who it was produced!!!

Really loved Take Me Out so bought tickets to go see them next week. Bought the album yesterday and gotta admit, I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be. Anyone else feel a great anti-climax on hearing the album?

I absolutely love some of the songs on the album, but some others are just a bit 'not Blink' if that makes sense, it just doesnt sound right. Not sure I'm too keen on the Robert Smith vocals on All Of This but that could just be because I LOVE the sound of Blink's vocals, I think they're awesome! Maybe it'll just take time

So I finally got myself the new album, it's really really different to what I expected, not sure I'm so keen on the more 'abstract/different' stuff, maybe it'll just take getting used to. Have Blink turned into adults or something? I always like to think of them as like Peter Pan characters who arent ever gonna grow up, I think I like the older stuff better!!! Having said that though, the album is fairly rockin, once you get into it! Am I talking utter bullshit or is anyone with me on this?
