ok i have listened to the new one now twice in quick succession, and i have to say that: 1 it rocks, i really love the way we are going 2 the sound is a bit dry but it still rocks 3 we really need to get tighter as there were some blurry bits, but it still rocks 4 i dont think i like the feedback over mt tapping bit, but i have to admit that the song rocks

ok i have listened to it for a few more times and i think is a very good song' for a more personal note: i really like the style of drumming, fast snare and DB to match guitar harmonies on a fast pace, just to get away from the usual fast mush for a verse and a slo harmony over the chorus (you cant deny that) ok the bass has avery simple line but i am willing to sacrify myself only thing i see as a not so good note on that song is the singer hi end growl al Phil Anselmo (never been a big fan), BUT replacve it with the deep growl of the Tonster and ytou see where i am going,

that is the shit, i d love to play stuff like that, but ofcourse i cant write anything. and we still have at least 3 songs to rework that we havent touched insted of creating new material. if you dont want to do it is fine but dont just say "yeah we will" and than just ignore it and to be honest i dont really like Syl l, sorry Hogster they dont really appeal to me

agree, fully. how about a song that is NOT our style (unlike metallica and syl) and make it ours, some of the best covers were done by changing the style of a song for example the tetris theme tune done ska version, by Mr bungle it rocks i know that for you peeps is a bit difficult to get out of your narrow alley of metalness but there are 1000s of styles out there and just because You dont like them doesent mean tht peeps that do dont understand what real music is

I see that once again there is alot of ideas there :-) i have to admit that lead instruments have their use one of the greatest composers of all time never used a lead guitar but still had lead instruments. i probably didnt quite ask my question right though. what i was supposed to ask is.. in rock and metal (and all the subgroups associated with the 2 styles), lead guitarist (when present) tend to behave as primadonna (once again this is generalisation from my past experience), often covering with their frivolous behaviour, interesting parts of songs. Any ideas on this?

ok here something i am curious about, are lead guitarist an essential part of the band or are they just big headed primadonnas? btw try and refrain on commenting on my grammar/spelling and general language use, thanks

1 thing i really dont understand is: what is wrong with standard E tuning? why do guitarists whant everything? they never let other members of the band do theyr own stuff.. you want lower tones? get the bass player to work on it. you want faster feel get the drummer on it... dont try and do everything by yourself or the rest of the band will get bored and leave anmd by the way if someone else has a solo STFU already do basic notes so that that someone has his/her moment of glory dont try to cover everything

btw i hope i havent offended you Hog.. you know i love you... even if you cant tune your guitar

dont get me wrong, i totally agree with checking your tuning as soon as you are on stage, and do the necessary corrections there and than... what i am talking about is haveng your instrument out of several notes... like what should be a B is infact a Aflat... also just to insult Hog a bit :-) this thread was originally inteded for Hog's case only.. he has a really bad ear for tuning also he hasnt got the proper technique as in instead of letting the note ring for a bit and listen for the wave sound resulting (i dont know the proper term in english) he keeps picking listening only for the first note which is often the wrong one to listen to. to top it all off in the 10-15 years of playing the guitar he never bothered learning how to properly string a guitar and tuning it. so in this case a working tuner would be the best option beleave me omg i never wrote for so long in this forum.....
