  1. cringe well seeng someone been kiked in the knakers is a good way to make me cringe also that type of comicity which involves misunderstandings and humiliation of the main character in a film seeing an instrument been smashed the thoughht of tonys farts and other method of torture this is what i can think of at 20 past midnight after a very uncofortable sleep we in stoke
  2. well i dont know how funny this is gonna be but this is a true story the hogster and myself gott nearly gassed to death by tony on the way back fromstoke it was a neardeath experience (well since we got almost gassed to deth) but this thread is not actually about hog with all the deue rispect to the master guitarist this is about the poor and meak bass player
  3. right how to begin.... ahem since this is an element 106 forum and i am in element 106 why not... in other words i really dont have a lot to say for myself but you guys could be open and sincere and tell me something about me that i dont know or ask me a question it can be enything like what kind of drink i prefere the most or how to get the rid of thast really annoying spot on the side of the nose that you hate so much.... so for once i come out of the shadow of the stage and try to get a lead role in the thread this thread is going to be over i about 2 messages isnt it?
  4. the thumb, the pop, the tip, the pick, the tap... what is importat is what fits and what you like... i generaly use a pick on fast monostrings tap for solos finger for everything pop and slap whn aggressive rithmics are needed by the way with a correct and well developped technique you can be twice as fast with fingers than with a pick remeber you have 4 fingers and only one pick i know hard to acheave but not impossible
  5. thanks man i have to admit it didn't come cheap but is worth every penny it has an extralong scale and a detuner on the b string.... from b to a in a flick of a finger
  6. i started with the hapsicord when i was 8 for almost a year than i moved to the piano for again almost a year for the instrument which i love/ed cello i have a stradivari copy (proudly made by ma dad) than 14 years ago i started on the bass this is me with my little baby a custom made 6 string with a lovely nechthrough
  7. so is like a pre amp fir the line bass/pa since itr has 2 outputs one to mixer and one to amp? a signal booster?
  8. right i have used a di box heaps of times but what exactly does a di box do? could anyone explain? thanks
  9. but its so funny reading them bitching about how immature they are.... please go on i really enjoy it oh by the way y dont you all come to drakes on the 8th very nice lineup
  10. not really i remember part of a song i herd ages ago but no name/artist springs to mind
  11. Right what i suggest is get a feel; of the instrument first. have a bit of practice on a bass for example your boyfriend's the go to r&b or bruce miller and try them out see how your hand sits on the neck and try out the flat and round neck each bass is slightly different from each other so what is good for one is absolutely crap from someone else. for example some people love fender i really dont know why the sound is too tinny and the neck is too thick..... oh by the way try them on an amp so you know how they sound
  12. right i just finished listening to classical thump, i can say only one thing WRAH i really would like to know hou does he do it.... and can any one explayn to me hw to do ghost notes on slap? i think i am just too thick cuz i cant understand the wee book on slap i have
  13. the scene.... the scene IS bollox you either like the band or not regardles of the scene if it is your cup of tea you stay if not you leave which make sense BUT you gotta give the band a chance listen to at least a coupple of songs.....not just fuck off cuz your mates gigged and left as fo the moshpit it is a bit difficult to mosh at a song you dont know how it goes next ill give you that p[luss not everyone wants to mosh at all. i have played in front of 16 peopole that including bar-staff bouncer and girlfriends it sucks but it was also a wednsday and it was well past 11 so you gotta live with it
