  1. thats beutyful... i almost cried reallly you have got the instrument in you treat it like a partenr lovit be tender and love it some more... the response is great. feel the bass and be the bass. is not takeing the piss is just how i treat my bass. fender have the only poroblem of a round neck... i prefere slim lines like warwick or my beast
  2. what do you like about fenders? i personally find them unconfortable to play
  3. right this is the space for you i want to know what really makes you tick. basses wise of course. brands, styles, inspirations and aspirations. everything goes

well for a start a good quality mohogany lets your fret board last a lifetime. its naturals oils protect from the acidity if sweat, also the pressure of the fingers on the strings. get a fretboard made of pine or spruce... in a year of playng you have groovs so deep that it'll become unplayable. second a guitar also has an aestetic factor, shape, colour are part of a player taste and why not axtending that taste to the inlays? i've got a Y on my 12th (i'll let you alll wander why) i wanted it because has a meaning. but even if not it looks cool
  7. as i always say bass is not just an instrument is a lifestyle. you gotta be sensible to play the bass otherwise youll end up a silly butterfly of a guitarist. or a jumping monkey of a singer... nope no drummer jokes this time. i rispect them because they put lots of effords in the band but they are way too stubborn
  8. to tell you the trouth i havent got a clue. i only know there are 3 versions. the 8, 10 and 12 strings. also it hooks on the belt
  9. ok cool kit but i bet it sucks on petrol like a child on the mother's breasts
  10. is not mine my bass instructor had one in hes shop and i was fascinated by the look of it. at the time i didnt know hou to tap at all but it is a challange i'd be willing to take on if only i had a bit more time. but since i cant even practice my bass once a day i'll have to pospone
  11. one simple trick is to keep the bow not too clkose to the bridge. use the midle and ring finger along with the thumb to get a good grip on the bo and use the index finger to increase the pressure on the strings while on the top part of the bow. also get a good make opf pitch and keep it handy
  12. i got my hands on one a few years ago... is not hard is insane. gotta be good on 2 handed tapping. but you can pull off so much shit is Unbelievable.
  13. really I was just joking. everybody plays however they want, and however they feel more confortable with. my big problem with a pick is changing string i can't give a smooth passage but always miss a beat or two in the fast bits
  14. the pick is the mind killer. learn to play with your fingers. it gives a better, fuller sound. also allows you to pass to slap and tapping with ease. but i hve to admit if the song is really fast and only on 1 string i use me old purple Dunlop 2.0mm pick which i have since the year 2000.

I use D'addario xl gotta say they work fine for me, in a year no particular difference in tone and sound. also the guy hwo made my bass recomened them. they are a bit expencive but its perfect value for money. plus is one of the few that does super long scale but thats use only for me
