  1. All I said was I was surprised you liked something that wasn't balls-to-the-wall, raging metal - thats the image you put over on these boards. There was no malice or insult in that first post. Unfortunately, you as usual, threw your toys out the pram, so I took the piss. Felt good too....
  2. Limited genres? Maybe. Limited genes? Yep.
  3. Still have the list, but not to hand. Basically all of Captain, including "Fireworks", but really, really fast. Roddy didn't wear shoes then either....
  4. You're so misunderstood. Emoooooooo.......
  5. 1. I'm incredibly surprised Rune likes anything without blastbeats. 2. I downloaded some Tom Waits - not what I was expecting at all! It kinda like you take a death metal band, unplug it, and make 'em sing insane blues. Kinda.
  6. Thats awful - but you rolls the dice, you pays the price. Sympathies to the family....
  7. *Dons "I liked 'em when you hadn't even heard of them" jacket* Bought Captain and saw the supporting Warm Jets in Lava 7/8 years ago. Punktastic they were then! Still dig 'em though.... (Slightly) interesting story - at that gig, Roddy knocked his capped tooth out, which I found on the floor and traded with him for a signed set list after the gig.....
  8. Having been a long-time disliker of D.E.P. I listened to Miss Machine last week and its actually rather fabulous. DEP and PTW probably beat Helmet in "need to see"-ness, but depends who supports Helmet...
  9. If y'all dig Helmet, check out Orange 9mm - similar time period, similar style, also ace....
  10. My SHO in Woodend a few months back knew you. So there.
  11. Tuts? Way small, no? Woulda thunk it'd be the QMU....
  12. Ha ha! UK tour Atreyu, Every Time I Die and Bullet For My Valentine: December 12 London, Mean Fiddler 13 Cardiff, Club Ifor Bach 14 Manchester, University 16 Newcastle, Northumbria University 17 Liverpool, Academy 3 18 Oxford, Zodiac 19 Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms 20 Birmingham, Carling Academy 2 WooHoo! 2 minutes from my work!
  13. D-Rail are pish. Shapeless, mosh-fodder.....
  14. Pantera - Cowboys From Hell, Walk, Fucking Hostile (You forget how ace they were - SJR aren't a patch on Pantera...) Sepultura - Roots, Chaos AD, Arise(There was no better metal...) At The Gates - Anything offa "Slaughter..." Carcass - Anything offa "Heartwork" Danzig - Twist of Cain, Mother, How The Gods Kill (There's not enough Danzig on the board...)
  15. Beecher were ace at that gig, but yeah, Norma Jean DESTROYED. I thought Beecher would be the better band, but jeez, Norma were brutal. Still rate Beecher as one of the UKs best...
  16. NCF are indeed ace. Will try check those others out....
  17. Burnt By The Sun are AWESOME. Track 8 on the last album is the best use of riffage in years!
  18. They're ace? British bands always have a viscious quality the yanks usually lack....
  19. Yeah, Botch are good, but Drowningman are MUCH better in my opinion. Been downloading These Arms Are Snakes for a while - will let y'all know what I think.....
  20. God Among Insects - I think. Its good stuff, and doesn't go down the Locust/Daughters avenues that do my head in too much.....
  21. Best goddamn hardcore I've heard in AGES. Imagine Beecher playing Every Time I Die, and you're halfway there....
