  1. over the summer i was selling heaps... maybe worth trying cash converters or something like that for a cheaper investment?
  2. Cool - I've got that Antares software but have never tried to use it.... oh no, the list of things to gen up on grows ever bigger!!
  3. I'm still a fan of Cool Edit / Adobe Audition - although I'm currently learning the ropes with Ableton Live with an eye to moving the live set up a notch. Fruity Loops is also a great package. Currently downloading Cubasis5 over a 56k modem (it's taking F*CKING AGES!) as I loved using it for that Midi course earlier this year.

    Help!

Paul's right - best bet is to try the charity shops (especially Oxfam) for sheetmusic. Quite a few shops usually have a case of sheet music behind the counter. Much cheapness too (and it's a good cause!).

    Lo-fi

how about earlier Microphones recordings? "Song Islands" is a good place to start. Or "The Glow, Pt 2". Currently listening to Bonny Prince Billy's "I see a darkness" - that's quite lofi!
  6. Ah, gotcha now. Yeah that place looks rather nice - very up my junk rummaging street... will have to check it out when the final pay check comes through... Baby samples? Hmm, maybe but they'd be warped beyond ALL recognition!
  7. Bizarrely enough I'm just listening to a MEFM recording of your interview from last May. First time I've heard "Once You Know" with the jackboot stomps and Russian "hey!". Fantastic track. Is it on the new CD? PS: Reading Vic's review left me none the wiser as to your new CD.
  8. y'know, should have throught this through and had a golden pin badge...

    Tunings

D-G-D-G-B-E or C-A-D-G-B-E - although I have to admit I tend to stick to the lower 3 strings with these tunings.
  15. There's an alright open mic night in Stirling apparently - not sure if you get paid for the privaledge, but if you take CDs..... who knows? Might sell enough to cover petrol costs. Nicky Tams, Baker St, Stirling - Saturday afternoon open mic which comes heartily recommended!
  16. I'll swap you a laser printer...
  17. Is it an F-310? If so and it's in good nick I recommend it to jahrule!
  18. Hog.... your CD is up for review soon after getting a fair few plays. It clears out the earwax that's for sure! And what's happened to your solo side project? Hey Chris, Me too usually, but I've kept track this time - good for following up with radio / A&R too (for all the good it does you!). It's nice to cover the cost of making them for a change! I suspect that most people reading this will have a copy by now... most, but NOT ALL!! You spend more on a pack of Marlboro but this will last MUCH LONGER!! It's the truth!
  19. Rock = SIDCA / Saint Maybe / Electric Tibet / Masamune Electronic = Data Thieves Pop = Little Kicks Jazz = Delicate AWOL (rip) Weird music = Kitchen Cynics Classical = is there anyone? Emo = never understood what this was anyway. Acoustic = Paul Tasker Country = Le Reno Amps
