i just can't believe that big brother has eaten itself. Putting that goody twat back in, who qualifies for celebrity status only because she was in the show before. Guess the money and attention must of dried up from the last time round. And her mum... what a knob. I just saw it for the first time since it started and her standoff with Shilpa made me want to throw my telly out the window in the hope it might damage her in some way. God I hate big brother... especially as i only get reception on channel 4 and end up watching people sleep for most the night... gah.

it got cat fairly easily for me, which i was impressed about, i guess it was the alien creature/dressing well questions next to each other that just clicked it immediately.

Now that had me in hysterics, god bless, finally a film that i can actually look forward to with no reservations.

Just saw Saw 3, nae impressed, perhaps i was hoping too much from the end but i thought the previous 2 pride themselves on awesome twists and gore. While they turned the gore up to 11, the only decent twist in the film was that of the guy on the rack's arms and legs. Shame, coz after Identity, i thought the ones in the first 2 films were utterly superb. It wasn't all bad, i just expected a lot more from it.

I'm pretty sure they only take one set of screens with them on tour, the academy is way smaller than the secc, perspective n all that. Fucking right, the grudge would of been absolutely fucking awesome. Also, some one was talking about the images on the screens, my favourite was by far in Lateralus with the DNA strains made out of little men with thier heads between anothers legs, all nuggying the one below. Perfect for the song, and just pretty much says it all about Tool.

You missed Rosetta Stoned, they played it between schism and the pot i think. I remember thinking how only tool could get away with playing 3 10+ minute tracks almost back to back. Aye, FUCKING ace tho, as usual with SECC gigs i have the major gripes with the bonehead assholes that ruined the second half of the show for me by elbowing their way in front of us and starting beating crap out of each other, wish they'd just save the 28 and just stand outside and have a streetfight next time, then letting the rest of us enjoy the show but meh, what can you do. I loved how they introduced elements of the stage show bit by bit throught the show, like the first screen didnt go on til the second track, then the rest of the screens then the massive lights on the roof then the lasers, culminating at the very end of nema with the double bass bit when the whole stage turned into a epileptic's nightmare. They were fucking tight aswell, there are some little bits they do live which just make the songs for me, i don't know if anoyone else noticed but in lateralus, they put this 'breath' or pause in just before the massive heavy breakdown, and the breakdown itself was so fucking heavy and grooving, i remember that made my hairs stick on end at the last gig, and this one. Also Kudos to Maynard for a)being in a far better mood than he was at the Academy in June and having better banter and b)being the only man alive who could pull of an orange dayglow anorak. If only he hadn't bottled the last soaring chorus in Vicarious, its my favourite part of that whole song, i'd probably of messed myself there and then.

Right, i'm stumped. After all your suggestions (which i am so greatful for) i figured, that a hard drive wipe was probably inevitable, so instead of trying to avoid it i just started scavanging as much of my important stuff off as possible and getting ready to wipe. Then just a moment ago the missus' PC went down with exactly the same syptoms this one had. i dont really understand how that works, they're not connected by anything other than we both get net access from the same router. Anyway after a couple of failed re-boots, in a panic she unplugged her usb flash drive and restarted and everything was fine. So, inspired i tried the same, unplugged all usb's (yeah, like i said i would try about a week ago) and the fucker works fine?! plugged the modem in and its like nothing ever happened. I think im still going to go ahead with a format at some point soon, as i've taken most my precious belongings off it anyway, but any ideas as to what may of caused this? its not the first time and im kinda concerned it might happen again with slightly worse concequences. i got a screen from both, the time of the last freeze was about 20:35, it didnt note anything, tho there was a heap of errors from when i opened the thing in safe mode, in applications, there was nothing since yesterday when it last worked, but i dunno if it might be relevant, here are both the screens anyway if you can make any sense of any of it. cheers to everyone for the help, i'm hoping that if it's a faulty drive it's the one windows is installed on, not the one i have all my stuff saved in or i may break things. Null-i'll away and attempt to take a screenshot like you suggested, tho im not sure how to get it onto this pc as if i remember correctly all devices are disabled in safe mode and this thing doesnt have a floppy drive, i'll see what i can do, cheers tho man. Also nothing has been plugged in recently that would cause it to screw up. May try unplugging everything and starting up and start from scratch.

Yeah well that pretty much nailed it on the head, my PC's being a massive ass and im in need of someone vaugely tech minded to assist. Long story short it wont start, i turn it on it gets to the Windows XP loading screen then when it would normally come up with the log-in page it just comes up with a blank black screen. So i've left it to clunk around for a while on the black screen, as it sounds like it is still running healthily, but to no avail, it seems quite happy to just sit and stare blankly at me. So i've tried restarting and turning it off and on using the 'cold hard cut' buttons on the front of the unit but then it comes up with a dos-style page saying windows didnt load properly (duh) with a list of options. A few variations on safe mode, a revert to last working conigurations options and start running windows as normal. the revert and and start as normal options just take me to the same black screen with no change, safe mode does exactly as it says on the tin and launches it into safe mode but as i have absolutlely no clue as to whats causing the bother i dont really know what to do. This did happen before once, once again i came to my wits end, left it over night then tried again and it worked as if nothing had happened. Alas this time i did the same and its still being an arse. I know my symptoms are incredibly vauge but any form of assistance will be greatly greatly appreciated! Cheers, Rass.
