  4. dunno, lots of player on twitter suggesting managers brief the ballboys prior to games.
  5. temperature is a flavour killer though. I like some beer cold and some beer cool. Depends on what i'm drinking.
  6. i think the problem is describing becks as stronger in taste to 5am saint, which is odd. 5am saint i find to have a stronger flavour than becks and matches beef really well, so i use it in my chilli. becks is a fine refreshing beer mind you, and goes well with spicy food or just as a stock fridge filler for opening when you get home from work or just want to drink a few while yapping shite or watching telly. there is room for some beer snobbery - at least you didn't say tennents or carling.
  7. got played by Mark Ryan on his Amazing Beats show on Friday night along with Fiona Soe Paing (another aberdeenshire electronica producer). it's a great show and worth checking out for a good range of electronic music. I think i'm on about 4:22:00 with the intro about 4:17:00 http://amazingradio.co.uk/?show=amazingbeats
  8. you were meant to do some for me at one point
  9. skye's a must if you don't have long but want to see some amazing scenery in a lovely place. you can drive there and it's just ace. glasgow for party times, edinburgh at the festival for some shows. definitely check out a lot of the free festival stuff, some of it's utter shit but it's usually pretty good fun. aberdeenshire's pretty good for walks, castles (americans love castles right?), and coastline. good excuse to check out some wee fishing villages and get a pint or 4 in a pub somewhere, if you head up the moray firth you could see some dolphins too. then head over to the highland wildlife park. you could also go up the funicular railway at cairngorm. also whisky distillery. full on scotland.
  10. I'm quite keen on elder sign, need to get a few others played before purchasing though. catan is ace.
  11. we should do an aberdeen music chilli cook off
  12. i usually use 5am saint in my chilli. but I braise my beef in it rather than pour in a whole bottle. braise my beef sounds dirty.
  13. is it just me or are all the embedded soundcloud links not showing?
  14. oh fuck, i genuinely lolled so much at that. bappit, jacket, bappit, jacket.
  15. ah, this is fucking ace. jacket song is immense.
  16. space is aceic. honestly. fucking loving stargazing live and all the space chat. there should be some kind of stargazing/gig thing happening, that would be sweet.
  17. ordinarily i'd ask how you were listening to it, but i'd imagine you've got decent speakers. I'm happy with the mix and the placing of everything within it. I spent a lot of time placing the beats and other bits where they are and I think they sit well there. Obviously, as with most things, it's subjective and other people won't like the choices i've made. I'm cool with that.
  18. I was actually thinking of doing a second remix of this where I chop up the main melody a bit more, so i understand what you're getting at. I wanted this piece to reflect the original track without being too obvious a remix. I don't really make dance music so I wanted it to sound almost like daemons covering seas starry. I have no idea what my travel plans are for saturday yet, either a train in and a lift back or a lift both ways. what are your thoughts?
