the cavern's a great wee shop but i think it's fair to say that it's on the pricier side of the tracks. however they do have some amazing records. if you can't see what you're after in there ask about it, they have a large amount of stock that's not out and if you ask them nicely they can fish it out of their warehouse for you. can take a while though as they're cataloguing a lot of it for the new shop. incidentally if you like second hand vinyl, one up's section is worth a look if you're in town, we don't charge collectible price's on most things and as such the good stuff doesn't stay for long and the staff tend to have sharp eyes too. give it a look though when you're in and you'll probably find something worth forking out 4 for.

myself and anna found a man wearing a short sleeved shirt collapsed on the pavement at about 2 in the morning and not moving. he was completely soaked through and it was still snowing so we got him on his feet and tried to find out if he knew where he was and what not. after attempting to talk to him for 5 minutes he staggered off refusing anymore help and collapsed in a doorstep round the corner. i told him that if he was still there when i came past again in 15 minutes i'd phone an ambulance for him cause otherwise he would die. he wasn't there, i think it was his doorway he stumbled into. i think he lived near where we found him, but he was totally fucked. if we'd left him lying there he would've ended up in a very bad way.

de barros are....unclean. but they do rock. i don't think we're looking for anything in drakes then. but if you get really stuck then we could maybe do it. if you'd want us of course. get de barros.

memories: 1. dancing my ass off to staccato set and not caring a jot that they pummeled us for best of the rest cause they're ace! 2. screaming till i couldn't talk no more when the mighty eric euan won best band in the whole of aberdeen! 3. campbell eric euan crewmember standing over my face in his kilt when i was lying on the floor at the bar. a sight noone needs to see, but alas far too many have. 4. wee heather from work spinning a lot, looked like she was having fun. 5. orwell rocking like the big rock behemoths they really are! 6. drinking. a lot. 7. being very very very cold walking home. 8. saving a man's life walking home. 9. then drinking a gazillion times more alcohol the next night during the remembering session. doh.

if we're out of stock don't worry cause we can get more from yon hairy weedgie's quite easily. Macrocosmica fucking rule!!

yes that's right folks this will be the last sonic deth monkey ever!!! no one offs or anything* after this one. so if you've enjoyed a sonic deth in the last year then please come down on the 15th of december to pay your respects. doors will open at 8 and the entry fee will be 3. bands confirmed so far are: Dedalus Clive ravensby The ugly priest i'm gonna try and get one other band too, just for kicks. also this will be a year on from dedalus' first ever gig which was at sonic deth monkey. so to recap, last ever one, shit kicking bands, amazing tunes from the dj's(and some shit ones) and only 3 quid. tell all your friends to come too. hopefully we can go out with a bang rather than the wimper that's been the last two(although i accept full responsibilty for that).

i'd vote sidca all the way. greatest live band in aberdeen. also, masamune, hookers green no 1 and deadloss. as for saying we're no showmen bri, it's a bit unfair considering you haven't seen our last 3 gigs where we've been much more energetic and put in better performances. last 3 gigs have been some of our best gigs ever. i could lend you a video.

fighting red adair and red admiral on the first night of their tour! hopefully with politik supporting, just waiting to hear back from them. unfortunately it'll cost 4 this week but that's only cause we have two travelling bands rather than the normal one, and i like to make it worth their while. doors are at 8pm. please come along and check out fighting red adair who are fucking awesome!

that's only cause you didn't see sidca's improv set at sonic deth that you say that del. i go with sidca too. but i'd probably vote sidca the best band in the whole of aberdeen. sidca rool. and have the honour of playing sonic deth more times than any other band. and they have the best song. and the best drummer. *walks off singing that song about going dreadfully slow*

eric euan are in my opinion one of the finest bands in aberdeen. always offering something new and never playing the same set twice. they rock with the power of riffs and sing sweetly into your ear as if they were but a sleek young maiden trying to taste your sticky love nectar. yea!!
