  1. thats my birthday. Not that anyone cares
  2. they returned my call this morning and said they had mistakenly entered cumulative peak demand, not peak demand. Our peak demand was 50.4 kw. thankfully.
  3. Now comes the fun part tomorrow when I query our electricity bill of 20,000 with some inbred on their phone system, and try and explain why we couldn't possibly have drawn that much power at any one time. next up - does anyone have any examples of something that might draw that much power - EG 'no you fool, I know thats what the bill says but it can't be right because Pittordrie doesn't draw that much power during a night match with all the floodlights on. YOU FUCKING INBRED' or equivalent
  4. great, I doubt we were pullling 3,825,000 watts of power at any time. R
  5. I can't remember any and can't be arsed to look them up. Can anyone tell me in watts what a peak demand of 4501 KVA on a three phase supply is please. I get 2.5million watts which can't be the maximum power we drew last month. thanks Rob
  6. I am have various bits and bobs of the following peoples property. If you are one of these people or if you know them please can you either give us a ring on 01224 572 876 or PM me to collect. Rachel Edwards Ewan Matheson Lorna Hendry THomas Eason Rhiannon Will. Note to Moderators : I realise last time someone did this you locked the thread for 'posting personal information on the site' but I don't see how this applies to someones name only, with no other identifier. Thanks Rob
  7. you'd need a billboard Poster to fit the photo on though
  8. PS. If you come across in real life like you do here, I imagine I'd be pretty rude to you too. Right, just off to water down the fosters. Oh hangon, it's impossible.
  9. Looks like we'd better get the doors widened for your next visit, so we can fit your ego in. I still can't believe some wanker had the temerity to actually come up to you at a gig and tell you they liked your band. Shocking, whats the world coming too?
  10. You think it didn't work, which is probably what they want you to think. Because now even though you know it's a scam, you aren't doing anything about it.
  11. I think I'd rather be at Hell is for heroes and Aerogramme at Moshulu. From 7.30 Rocking
  12. I don't understand why you wouldn't see a band because you thought they came across as wankers on a board or in an interview though. If the musics good then the sort of people they are is irrelevant no? in fact I think I prefer my rockstars to be hard drinking, womanising, swearing, rude and downright arrogant. Beats a nice woolly jumper and a cup of cocoa before bed anytime
  13. more the fact that it's the full 10k rig, with a monitor desk and your very own monitor engineer. Probably
  14. And you'll be playing through the same PA that Biffy and Hell is for heroes got. Which is nice
  15. Good gig. Pleased with how everything worked out. Regarding the pint of coke, I agree, it is too much for a pint of coke. Not something we'e ever really thought about, because no one ever buys pints of coke. Probably because they are 3 !! He/She will have been charged for 2 x 1.50 glasses of coke probably, as there isn't a pint of soft drink button on the till. We'll change it, just as soon as I work out how to program the damned things... Thanks to : Paul Stewart Jimmy ans all at CLS Ben Weapon Dr Rachel and her stethoscope staff and security anyone else I've forgotten Rob
  16. Random 'Hi do you have any tickets left for Biffy tonight?' Me 'No sorry, it's been sold out for a while now' Random 'So theres no way to get a ticket then?' Me 'No' Random 'No way at all?' Beeeeeeeeeeep.
  17. I think the real question is wether he is stupid enough to go on live tv without someone giving him the answers
  18. It's just aberdeen, although other licensing boards in scotland have/are about to do the same. Infact the major chains challenged it in the high court. The ruling was along the lines of: It is illegal to impose minimum prices in england as it's an unfair restriction of trade by the council, who control licenses in England. However in scotland because it is the courts it is ok to impose minimum prices. Broadly I agree with Flash. Both of us pay far more for beer etc than the likes of the major chains like Luminar (liquid, Jumpin Jaks, Cotton Club, Bardot, Chicago Rock), Epic (Ministry, Paramount, Priory etc), Urbium (tiger tiger) and scream (Exodus and Triple Kirks). I bet we both pay staff (from managers down), Dj's etc more. and we get stung with higher rents and insurance too. SO from a Business point it helps to level the field a bit. In terms of controlling the trouble in the city centre at weekends I think it will do SFA, however I bet neither of our venues contribute to that trouble in the slightest. R
  19. Downstairs - No. the Cocktails just scraped in by 1/2p Upstairs : Monday - Pints and spirits will have to go up, but they were only that low because that's what exodus charges, and they'll have to put the drinks up too. And no spin the wheel on a wednesday. Pints are 1.75 on a fri and sat at the moment anyway
  20. the last time I saw them live was in london on an ANL march about 9-10 years ago. We are already contracting rentokil to get the dressing rooms fumigated afterwards
  21. At the end of next week the council bring in their new minimum pricing structure to cut down on binge drinking in the city centre. Every single bar and club in the city has to charge the following as a minimum. Pint : 1.75 spirit (25ml): 1.20 Bottle of beer 1.75 Alcopop 1.75 Wine (125ml) 1.40 thoughts?
  22. Unconfirmed, beginning of next year
