Yes thats exactly what happened. What most certainly did not happen is that You told me you had McQueen confirmed, I asked what they sounded like and you Absolutely did not say "who cares have you fucking seen them"

Me Ross and Al have decided that on that friday we will be putting on the bands, giving them loads and loads of booze at Bond*age and then holding the first Moshulu Sleepover.

Tickets should be available soon form the bassment. We are reliably informed that they wish to share at least Ross's Bass Rig, not sure about the rest.

Other bands had dates booked around that time and the lineup was pretty much decided ages ago. Sadly Stapleton can`t make it but will be back later in the year.

I think I can say this now, but if not I'm sure Ross will correct me. The original plan for the all day event was based around 2 co-headliners, Sikth and Clutch, however after much pissing about, Clutch are unable to make the date, and thus Sikth, who don't want to headline the gig are also out of the picture. More news soon

Sorry to Jump in here, but I have looked into doing this before. It is the premesis that requires the licence so you would need a temporary licence for each event you attended, which shouldn't be hard to get but needs to be arranged well in advance with the licensing board.

But If I played the recording back to you, without telling you how, exactly, I recorded it, and said 'This is Music' is it?

So if I record naturally occuring sounds, paying attention to how I do it, that I capture the sounds I want, and that the levels of the sounds are correct does that make the non man made, naturally occuring sounds music? For me it's less about the method of creating the art/music, because you can only ever guess what was going on in the artist/musicians head when they created/captured whatever they did. It is the simple fact that someone says 'that is art/music' that makes it art/music

Thats the one. I'd class that up there with unmade beds, Blank Canvasses, and empty rooms, and pretty much everything that's won the Turner Prize as pretentious art school wank, but still art/music. *Then I am a English heathen*

is the intent to create it more important or is the perception of the resulting sound more important? I favour the latter, that by definition any sound/lack of sound that someone defines as music, is, by definiton music, because someone hears music in the sound. Be it teacups smashing or neds fighting, or that ridiculous 4 minutes of silence that was played on Radio 1 the other day, the composer defined it as music so it was.
