Each consists of three units. Applied Maths = Mechanics 1, Mechanics 2, and calculus. Pure Maths = The same calculus unit, further calculus, sequences and series and heaps of annoying seemingly pointless theorems. Applied is practical stuff, like looking at friction, gravity, things rolling down slopes etc. from a mathematical perspective. I think there were only 57 people sat the exam, we just had a class of 2, it was pretty good.
